Aww thanks cods, I do what I can. I have been in bed most of the day- not sure why but ache all over- something to do with this blessed Indian Summer- Im sure a good slug of vinegar will have my sap rising again soon- or was that brandy I can never quite remember which. Got a call from margie today , she has been down at River Cottage trying to pick up some organic pork and a few organic eggs-its been hours and haven't heard from her since- starting to feel a bit worried now- she refused to buy a mobile phone to make that lonely journey ( doesnt like new fangled contraptions and all) - I hope she contacts me soon. I might have to send the police out after her- her eyes are very bad and she is deaf as a post. Embarrassed

Oh well here I am back everyone, so pleased to say. That was almost the worst trip I have ever experienced. My tyres gave out on me miles from anywhere , so I slept in the back of my car, woken about 4 in the morning by a farmers truck turning into his home drive. After helping me with my dilemma I felt had to give him my pork as a thank you, he said no but I insisted. I still have egg's but nothing else. That's definitley it now, no more drives out on my own, could have been much worse situation I suppose and must admit very pleased to be back and I didnt pass any bridge Dame Pansi..I might have taken a different road I expect. Dying for a cup of tea ,putting on the kettle now.

Did I miss anything ?

marge we have not long had our Stranger Danger classes, where on earth were you then?.. they were so clear about going anywhere alone at night in particular on dark roads.. I am shocked especially after Sally who went off on her moped with only a bottle of rum to tide her over and we went days looking for her even had the dogs out, all the girls were crying. well most of them..angie went on with the BINGO but not many were interested..

yes we were all traumatised I can tell you beating through the scrub out the back of the hall was never on our agenda, looking for an old shelia in a moped probably out cold...when we did find her she was delirious or drunk not sure which I was too angry with her to find out..she had a lot of mozzy bites and that I thought served her right as I too was covered in them..and a right sight we looked with calamine blotches all over our faces....

the ambos had to be treated for trauma as well..it was a disgrace so please no more trips alone.. Pansi was given special permission from head office for her factfinding mission... however I think that will be the last as that too went a bit pearshaped and head office is not amused..

We mature ladies need to set a good example to the younger ones..and if we dont heed Stranger Danger who will?..

you did miss the dip and glide night marge another roaring success next year we will definitely have a prize for the best dip...so many girls got it right only one or two fell over which was remarkable considering the punch bowl had to be refilled 3 times....the band played all night well until 9.45pm..the patrol car gave a toot so we knew we were running a bit over.. but it was such a bonza night. we didnt want it to stop..

Oh very sorry my dear, because I think self defence is so important for us single ladies, I'm not sure what I was doing at that time, I am so busy and my schedule is full. I am going to be at the next meeting for stranger danger meeting because I was so very frightened in the dark on the side of the road the other night.

I am so dissapointed that I missed the Dip and Glide, my beautiful dress went to waste then. I even bought new shoes. Who won the best dress competition, was it you because I have heard that you win it every year.

Sorry to hear about Sheila and her mozzie bites,hope she didn't spill the rum, I rather feel like a tipple right now *HIC* ooops I have had a drop or two already. Oh how jolly "beating through the scrub out the back" I miss out on all the fun, sounded like a spiffing old time.

I'm off now my Shrodinger is hungry and there is an old man called Ron, he wants to come cut my grass soon, for 10 quid but I don't know him, do you?

Everytime I look I find another bruise, old Mal was just out of order, he flipped me on my back very roughly one too many times, he had this odd * glint* in his eye and he was smiling weirdly, kept saying he "liked it rough"? Then he made this weird garbled sound and asked "was it alright for you?" then lit a ciggie. Oh lol, I just hate to think what that really was.. I have a husband!

Anyway I didnt win best gown Margie , and yes it was cods agaaaiin Roll Eyes

- she has so many trophies now that she has to used a few for door stops and has started to use them for construction outside-her new brick bbq is looking very regal and she wants to use it for impromptu CWA meets when the Hall cant be used- she wants to use it like a podium...this is really going to her head, there is no "I" in team!

I have to admit I was embarrassed a wee bit to win another trophy and they are so big I have already built two new trophy cases its so ridiculous.. so I am now looking at making one for the main hall girls so you can all admire them and read how many times I have won them.

I think if we extend the hall we could do a beautiful job
it will mean more fund raising of course as we dont want a cheapo job do we...I am thinking of Mahogany for the cabinets.. its all class....

we can discuss at next meet

I was thinking about an honors list as well to hang under the pic of the Queen...what do you think girls??....

I am sorry you had to read that Gladys... that why I put my post up about my exciting win at the dip and glide fiesta....that is far more interesting than pansi frolicking on a beach somewhere...the girls were appalled by that behavior it isnt allowed in the rules you know... so I do hope you keep all your inner hormonials in control..we do have our standards and pansi has blighted them so we will say no more on that..

I hate to tell you this girls but I think "Sex on the Beach" is an actual cocktail- as is a "Long Slow Screw Against the Wall" and the good old "Screwdriver" The mind boggles at why these names were dreamed up but maybe Pansi might have some idea? I would not be surprised if there isnt another one hitting the club scene soon called one "********* " Yes! I know there is nothing written there but I had a great idea for an activity for next months pre bingo activity- lets give a name for a cocktail in honour of Pansis drunken romp on that sandy beach- we could use this opportunity to start a campaign to promote the CWA far and wide starting in Numbat Cove.. and beyond- we need the exposure I think? Pansi...? cods ?

I am very good at this you know and without giving too much away used to work behind the bar at the Ladies Bowling Club at Wiltshire many years ago now, but I have a keen memory and I remember plenty .

Oh come on girls......it was just a little cocktail.......and I might add that I won the limbo competition that night although I didn't know until I saw the trophy sitting on the bedside table the next morning.

Cods......I'm so excited about the hallway, we won't need to smother Vera's arms in Vaseline any more to get her through.
