It wasn’t a good look. There wasn’t a thread of natural fibre in the suit, and it did become a little bit shiny and little bit sticky and clung to all the wrong places.

he should have rubbed moisturiser all over[the parts where it clings that is] like we gals have to do...if we forget the fab softner which i do all the time..

I bet they didnt crackle like some of the fabrics females have to deal with.. Grin Grin Grin.. those were the days...

Nylon and polyester? you could get a 240 volt shock taking your blouse off on a windy day, it made your hair stand on end.

My first suit was made by Levi Strauss, in San Francisco, not Taiwan.

My first suit was bought when I was around 12.  We were invited to a wedding and my mother decided that I had to have my own suit, although it would have made more sense to hire one.  I only wore it once and I can't remember anything much about it other than it was a rather unpleasant shade of dark brown.

I bought my second suit from Fletcher Jones in Sydney in 1981.  It was woollen and the material was a lightish grey with a dark brown fleck.  I still have it today, although I rarely wear it as a suit any more - I'm more likely just to wear the jacket with a dark pair of trousers.

I bought my third suit also from Fletcher Jones, but this time in Parramatta.  I'm not sure about the year but it would have been in the mid to late '80s.  It was navy blue and double breasted and made out of a considerably lighter material than my other suit, which made it much more practical for the Sydney climate.  It still looks pretty smart and it's inevitably what I wear to weddings and funerals (these days I don't have many other reasons for wearing suits).

Yep, 1970's wedding photo's, the stylish maroon suit and long hair, it sure was a cute era.

That's from a 70's TV show. To me, for a man to look good - as in damn good - in a suit he has to be fitted for one. That may be a personal bias but rarely have I seen a guy "rock" a suit brought right off the rack.

Okay, maybe a guy who keeps in shape and owns a dark Armani.

...

One of the two.

Well, well, well, look at you waving your small penis nationality and comparing that to men's fashion. Go back to humping kangaroos. I mean, that what all Aussies do, right?
