....the ancient Greeks knew that the earth was not flat but had a spherical geometry. They also determined its circumference to within about 5% accuracy (see Eratosthenes's measurements in 190 BC)

So get with the times mate - the middle ages were indeed dark - best that you stay away from that era if you wish to make a point

a statement that makes very little sense since it would make MORE land available for farming in the northern and southern regions as well as make some far more productive. The worst case scenario is that nothing would change. A lot of the world might come here to learn how we farm in a dry arid and hot environment and do exceedingly well at it.

a bit like how the Medieval Warm Period and the Little ICe Age were removed from the hockey stick. Inconvenient. And not a lot different from how sea level data has now been changed historically and it now has 100% agreement with IPCC predictions. A bit like how the 17year pause in temperatures is now known to have not occurred after a 'review' of temperature records. OOPS!!!! That hasn't happened yet!! BUT IT WILL.
