Islam offers no improvement on any aspect of Australian society, nor of Western civilisation in general. In every aspect, Islam is a giant leap backwards, into tribal primitivism, into superstitious repression, into slavish submission to voluptuous, base urges.

Couldn't agree more.

Which is why I choose not to become a Muslim.

Why do you choose to be frightened of Islam?

Why don't you just ignore it, as I do?

Because you live in Tasmania and WA way from all the Islamic problems in the eastern states.

Why are you afraid of Muslims?

They murder on a large scale in the name of their particular brand of Islam.

Ah, so there are different brands of Islam, Soren?   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Yes, and we are witnessing their civil war in Iraq and Syria, Yemen and Labia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Lebanon etc.

So, while you recognise that Islam is not monolithic and that there are different types of Islam, why do you keep talking as if the reverse was true?   Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy

Rich diversity of sectarian violence.

I have never said anything of the sort, no matter how often you repeat this nonsense, Hot Air.

I said that the one thing that links all Islamic terrorism is... er.... Islam. But even such a plain truth is now 'Islamophobic' because neither Islam nor those who follow it and believe it (Muslims - gosh! can I say that?) are allowed to be criticised without the idiots like you Brain bandying 'Islamophobia' about.

That depends who you believe, old boy. Y's theory is a Moslem is a Moslem, but we're yet to reach a consensus on that.

When it comes to Islam and Muslims, there is always, ALWAYS something to tiptoe around. So sensitive - yet so murderous.

Rich tapestry, innit? You'd call it rainbow if the inverts - Allah sez kill 'em all -  haven't TMed that particular shorthand for lovely diversity.

I want to see when the wahabbis lie down with the LGTBI cadres, don't you, like the lion with the lamb - judging from the militancy of the lady boys, though, the wahabbis may be the lambs in this particular tableau.

Very, VERY rich tapestry.

A rich tapestry indeed. That Wahabi bed is going to be pretty full, old boy. The Saudis already have Uncle and Mother in there.

It’s such a rich tapestry, you’re happy to leave Uncle’s threads concealled. You face a bit of a dillema here, old chap. Your preferred carpet-bombing strategy is at odds with Uncle’s support of the most extreme Islamicist regime on the planet. What to do?

Avoiding questions on Uncle’s involvement in quashing demokracy in the Middle East - Iran, Egypt, the gulf states - is a good start. It covers the cognitive dissonance so central to your thinking.

Pretending the Wahabists got there on their own - with no help from Uncle and Mother - is another.  It allows you to offer glib, shallow cliches on complex foreign policy issues. Of course you don’t read Robert Fisk.

You prefer Pride and Prejudice.

That's right, PB, they never do anything off their own bat, everything evil they do, is because of the West.
If only we left them alone - but leaving them alone must not mean leaving them alone OVER THERE, barring them from coming OVER HERE. Oh no.  We must let them come here and we mustn't expect THEM to leave US alone. We must leave them to do as they please, wherever they please, anything else is oppressive and a 'complex foreign policy issue only Fisky can navigate successfully.

Leave them alone? Good heavens, we couldn't possibly do that. We need to export demokracy, remember? Just look at Iraq today. No Saddam, and no WMDs.

The world is a much safer place, no?
