Australia Going backwards....
Mar 25th, 2015 at 10:22pm

Last year clean energy investment grew in China (32%), the US (8%), Japan (12%), Germany (3%) and the UK (3%); but fell 35% in Australia (with investment in large-scale renewable energy falling an incredible 88%), due to policy uncertainty.

Appalling Abbott - what the bugger are you doing?

yes, the tax payer must give 11 Billion dollars to the Fossil fuel industry each year

An industry which is 83% foreign owned and only employs about 3% of Australians in the workplace. There are more workers in the Queensland tourist industry than there is in the Australian mining and energy sectors.

Yes tax payers money to foreign corporations who pay very little tax in Australia.

Yes, the fossil fuel industry is so efficient and honest that it needs over 11 billion dollars per year as subsidies and grants from the Australian tax payer.

People who hate children and vote for Abbott the bigot.

Australia is a laughing stock and a total disgrace on the international stage

Well done

Tax deductions are not subsidies and grants, do you think that when you claim a tax deduction on your tax return at the end of the year its a subsidy or grant?

This is why no rational person can get on board with global warming, first they have to totally reject all common sense like you and copper coated nut have done.  Cheesy

And diesel fuel used off road is not subject to the on road diesel fuel excise.....so it also is a nonsense to quote as a subsidy.

But these fools have had this explained numerous times in the past, it's just part of their Dr Goebbels mentality to keep repeating lies to establish their propaganda. Muppets.

spare the spin for your little delusional spin meetings

The diesel fuel tax subsidy alone is in the billions of dollars per year for the inefficient corrupt foreign owned fossil fuel industry.

11 Billion dollars per year for the foreign owned fossil fuel industry.

And you quibble over semantics like a freak fascist apologist corporate clown maggot

Well done - if you want to support foreign owned corporations that are pillaging our country's natural resources and paying very little tax, and employing very few Australians why not give up your Australian citizenship and live somewhere else??

Scandenavian countries have a 50% plus tax on their offshore oil and gas reserves (some as high as 80%) and global fossil fuel corporations still explore and operate there, The proceeds of this tax collection go into a national Trust fund to build infrastructure for the nation. The Fund is nearing 1 trillion dollars. Thats sensible.

We arent sensible - we are clearly the dumbest nation on the planet, and youre too blind to see past you filthy nasal openings

Well done

The fuel tax credit goes to the users of the fuel. It subsidises them, not the fuel companies.

Without the fuel tax credit the more expensive unsubsidised fuel would still be tax deductible.

It is merely a timing issue.

Grin

And of course we dont have a free market - we dont even have a democracy.

Socialistic corporate welfare and bankster protectionism

Whilst the middle and poor classes must ivided the scraps off the corporate table and deal with tough love economic rationalism and free market discipline

We witnessed in the last 2008 World Crisis (so called) that the banks and corporations that caused the crisis received bail outs and even more subsidies, whilst the rest of society was blame with austerity.

Socialistic welfare for the rich and the corrupt banksters, whilst austerity and pain for the bulk of society.

Since 2008, the elite rich are EVEN richer now whilst the poor and middle classes have been squeezed almost to death. I wonder why that happened?
