Baird is lying to NSW

Labor has written to the corporate regulator raising concerns that Premier Mike Baird's office "sought to interfere with the integrity" of an investment bank analyst's report on the government's proposed electricity privatisation.

Mr Baird has admitted his office called the bank – one of two handling the proposed privatisation – after one of its analysts issued advice that the transaction would be "bad for the budget".

The analyst reissued the note with an addendum including a more favourable take on the economic benefits of the privatisation. The phrase "bad for the budget" was removed.

they absolutely should be facing charges ....

voters have a right to expect fair and impartial reporting from a report that is supposed to be fair and impartial. The constant battering of lies that voters are subjected to needs to stop. The only way it will stop is if they start to make a few examples out of some of our politicians and start locking them up.

Whilst I'm on the subject, can I suggest we put the QLD LNP poli's that go to jail in the same prison as the bikies Grin

Prahran Labor candidate Neil Pharaoh said a complaint was lodged after a Liberal volunteer allegedly called a Labor volunteer “a fat b****”.

The government taking steps to cover up the fact that the sale of power assets will damage the budget and the conservative supporters don't care.

I would think that if this sale will not benefit the budget then there is no reason to do it.

This sale will damage the budget meaning that not only is there no long term benefit but there will be a long term coat to the community. We will have to make up the budget shortfall that this fire sale will generate.

They know up front that we are going to make a loss an overall loss on the deal.

Privatisation on ideological grounds at any cost.

The infrastructure benefits, which are off-budget, far exceed the cost in diminishing lost dividends, which are on-budget.
Why do you think so many astute ex-Labor figures, like Keating and Ferguson, are in favour of it. They can see the benefits. This can't be argued away on some petty ideological Labor rat basis.

There are only two truths here. One is that you lot are so dog in the manger that you don't want Baird to get the credit for an infrastructure program. The second one is the electricity grid is costing an arm & a leg to run under union management - for that is what it is - and again you're willing to preserve that feather-bedding, an outrageous burden on the consumer for the benefit of a few and the benefit of Labor finances.

You're all either willing participants in this fraudulent campaign against essential works in the state or you're just dupes. It's six of one & half a dozen of the other.

not sure about Keating, and I haven't seen any quote from him in support of anything although I have seen claims of such a quote, but Ferguson is in favour of it because he is being paid to be in favour of it by one of the mobs most likely to benefit from the sale.
