The beginning of the Global Warming story!

This graph shows the foundational knowledge of the science!

! D'oh... it won't let me show it: Figure 2 from http://journals.ametsoc.org/doi/pdf/10.1175/JCLI-D-14-00605.1

Note how the Antarctic has a bigger maximum of sea ice: this mean the Northern hemisphere is warmer yet the Southern hemisphere has all the water and should be absorbing more of the heat!

Therefore heat must be conveyed around the globe somehow and the story of explaining how that works begets the whole science!

I'm saying it's a witness of the foundational knowledge. This was at first theorised and then supporting evidence for it was sought!! That is a long story where the first ideas where proven not correct and others were added and ,... really, it's still not fully understood! Thus the problem is classified as complex! Wink

Greenland is interesting: the peaks dissapear but they all do the same yet it is steeper!

I am set(coming toward the idea of being set) on the idea that business and Government want to see 60 year trends before turning the real cog of real politik i.e. twice the definition of 30 years commonly seen as worthy of calling 'a climatic trend'.

..yes, promote the science: but I see that as the mechanics and Al Gore really said as much so I'm not saying nothing new except giving a figure of which is a total guess. ...the arctic, I think it's fair enough to say, also looks bad from those graphs... it had a few outliers and is quite erratic so I wasn't keen to say but it's a definite trend.

It's interesting.. when looking one previous year doesn't necessarily mean a bad folllowing year,... yet a trend is observed over long periods better than short so!!
