Stiill waiting for the catasrophic Cyclone in Qld
Feb 20th, 2015 at 12:11pm

I am still waiting for the catastrophic event the Armageddon that the Qld Premier promised along with a conga line of experts. Sunrise 7 ran a huge media blitz with reporter from Yapoon to the Gold Coast.

Bit like watching a cracker night when all the fireworks get wet and won't work.

Very pleased  for Queensland but what a beat up for some heavy rain and strong winds and a bit of local flooding.

You shouldn't throw words like Catastrophic around until you are sure of your facts. Cheesy

Fizzzzzzer

I suppose from the Blue Mountains, a cyclone in Rocky wouldnt seem very catastrophic.

In a time of universal deceit — telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

No evidence whatsoever it can be attributed to George Orwell or Eric Arthur Blair (in fact the same guy)

They'll always hype it up so that nobody can turn around after the event and say "we weren't given the proper warning".

Insurance, and all that crap.

The Outrage Bus...are we both watching the same pictures? Due to the miracle of satellites, I am indeed watching what is going on up north at multiple locations.

What a media event, what a frenzy...sorry for that poor bloody reporter who was consigned to the streets of where was it Yapoon?

Got his hair wet, that's about all. Nothing make up can't fix in a jiffy.

I hate seeing the media get let down like that by that naughty weather.

That's nothing, their ABC has been interviewing via Skype the ex mother in law of a boiler maker who's half sister once had a shag in a now demolished motel on the highway near yepoon.  Apparently it was getting wet....

Looks like Red has SOTL today!

I would have thought a category 5 cyclone would be catastrophic enough for anyone.

Perhaps if it was that little shortarse ex premier giving the message it would have been OK.

Ah so this on eis a fizzer too eh?

A few weeks ago NYC was supposed to be getting a killer storm of a century that I was hearing about for days.  All along, I held my conviction that it'd turn out to be buggerall, and I was right:  Meteorologists apologize for huge blizzard miss

You are right, it's an observation we can only make about things that affect other places.

those who think this is all due to CLIMATE CHANGE.. need to really be made to go and live through one of these .. storms. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes... and ask themselves since when do mere humans think they have any power that would in deed affect dear Mother Nature..

she is astounding magnificent and thoroughly unpredictable...if anyone thinks even with satellites
we will ever have any control....all I can say is..

good luck with that!
