Heh, that blog was read top to bottom by a fulltime professional journalist (in Ashland, Wisconsin, USA, near one of the big Lakes) and he said it was an absolutely fascinating read—took him 20 minutes to read it. Some of the medical staff at the hospital read it too

you did very well with all those med names maybe you should write a book geo.. maybe a cook book...you are very good with words....and describing things... give it a go.. one in the eye for the detractors if you turn into another Jamie Oliver with money to burn that would shut a few down wouldnt it???>..

IQ managed to get himself banned from here with his usual juvenile, faux-tough guy crap, like he got himself banned from Twitter, PollBludger and doubtless other boards. This happened long before I even knew about PA and Ozpol.

If AiA and SN want to post here—and god knows there is nothing worth staying in PA for—fine. But why carry on old quarrels? Naffy got a ban for posting a link to my name. If she could bring herself to apologise sincerely I would campaign to have her ban lifted. Naffy is funny because she has not a milligram of a sense of humor in her.

It seems sock attacks from PA have slowed so good. Just a bit of vigilance from the Mods here is all that is needed.

sorry if I gave the wrong impression geo not what I meant for sure.. I know you have not the slightest interest in PA or the occupants...and it would kind of be nice if the admin here did something to protect his members like fixing the avatar... instead he sees fit to ban his own members because he cant be bothered with any complaints....so thats where we are at..

fd has got very complacent it may come back to bite him...

one of the reasons I started the avatar thread here it may get some coverage which we cannot contribute to on the feedback one.... pretty sad really I dont think Iwhinge too much...no more than anyone else at any rate....maybe there is an ombudsman out there for angry forum members... Grin

I don't see why PA members should be banned at all. Most of us were members here before joining up over there. The problem is some of you are making a concerted effort to throw us all into the Ozpolitic trash basket. If we follow the rules - then why try and get all PA members banned.

Even assuming Jimmy Cracked Corn was a sock from PA - what did he/she do to break the rules? Offended one of your mates? Does it matter how many times your mates offend me or other members? Or is that irrelevant because whoever squeals the loudest gets his/her own way?

good point mantra... if you can dish it out you have to be able to take it I didnt have anything to do with getting anyone banned...I think nef really did it to herself...she did put up personal details that were not hers...

but having said that permanent banning is a bit heavy handed and bizarre I would rather have the person back using their original name than a fake one..where no one knows for sure....and then we have the labeling game played out...

I apologise for any gripes I have made to PA members..or even about them.. we have no right to pick and choose...and two wrongs dont make a right..

just to put the record straight mantra I have never seen you as anything other than a ozpol member...the fact that you can use both forums.. is your business and no one elses....they may wish to take that on board....

I am going away at some stage but when I return I may consider joining over there just to see what the hoohaa is... and if that upsets anyone here.. TOUGH!

SN from my understanding is ignoring all the negative comments here from now on. I can't be held responsible for AiA's avatar.No-one took any notice of it, nor knew what it was supposed to mean until you told them. I didn't notice it either. It's the same as that broken bottle comment of IQ's which he made once and at least 5 years ago, yet you and Aussie have used it as an example at least 100 times since then and it's embarrassing for me. Nothing is ever forgotten. Every little grudge and slight is recalled and chewed over again and again.

Pansi - there has been some terrible abuse here too, but it has remained here and been unmoderated. Yes I have hated PA when it has been at it's worst, but it is improving in leaps and bounds. You are referring to all of us, when there are only one or two members who do this.

OzPol is normal, PA is out there weird, it's like it's inhabited by zombies from another universe. There's no discussion, just constant slinging matches, competitions on who can say the most offensive thing or who can string the most foul language into one sentence. It wouldn't surprise me if there's only the one or two on there, and me, although I saw someone else from here on there yesterday, don't think they posted though. This blocking out of threads seems to be a new idea, I can't remember it happening before, you got banned for 24 hours or whatever then back to the forum.

I'm finished with PA, I got locked out of the only thread I liked.

I already commented on the avatar thread.

I haven't noticed any crap being slung at you and Aussie for quite a while - and if anyone is telling you otherwise - then they're sensationalising.

Lucas has gone by the looks of it and there was another newish member who was shockingly foulmouthed who appears to have disappeared too in the last few days.

You have banned plenty of people from your board over the years. Aussie has done the same too. Why is it so wrong that Skippy has done it. Having said that I don't believe anyone should be banned or suspended for very long, unless they cause destruction to a forum ie hacking.
