It's hit and miss.

Went a few months ago, and it was OK (nothing to write home about).

I'm not paying this evening, so that's a plus.

Group decision for dinner is Moroccan Chicken with Tabouli followed by fruit salad with either ice cream or mango yoghurt for me and apple crumble for the 'kids'.

Lamb kofta, tzatziki and leftover hummus and tabouli.  Leftover apple crumble and fruit salad (with ice cream) for dessert.

Gotta love those leftovers.

no you don't ...

I rarely eat leftovers. Prefer my food cooked fresh the day I eat it. I know some foods like pasta taste better the next day, but i usually just throw it away

The koftas were cooked fresh but there is nothing wrong with 'leftovers' and it depends on your definition.  The hummus, tabouli and apple crumble were all eaten within 24 hours of making them and saved me some work.

When I do a roast I buy one big enough so that there are 'leftovers' for either a cold meat salad the next night or sandwiches, or both.

I have better things to do than run to the supermarket daily for cold meats etc.  So 'leftover' roast it is.

Not keen on pasta and it doesn't reheat well anyway.

Chooks get scraps not 'leftovers'.

I had chooks for many years so they aren't a novelty to me.  We don't eat enough eggs to warrant it now.  I can buy free range farm eggs quite easily from roadside stalls.

I thought I did explain it.

Leftovers -

If I make a roast dinner I make sure the meat (chicken, beef, lamb etc) is large enough to either have it again with a salad or make sandwiches with it the next day.  If I make a large dessert like a trifle or apple crumble I make it large enough to cover 2 nights.  'Leftovers' which I place in the fridge for the next day.

Scraps -

What is left on a plate after dinner, surplus vegies from a roast dinner, peelings, what's left in the pan/pot after I have dished out more than adequate portions onto the dinner plates, any small part of a meal that is not eaten .

We all have different terms for things but that is how I consider 'leftovers' and 'scraps'.
