The table ordered 2 seafood platters,  a few fish dishes and my boy got fish and chips which were apparently amazing. Me tho, I stuck to a burger because about 6 months ago I was at a restaurant eating lobster, fresh from the tank and prawns, which I've eaten more times than I can remember. Long story short, I ended up in the ER and needed 3 stabs of adrenaline to keep my airway open.

Last night my kid grabbed a piece of salt and pepper squid from the seafood platter and asked me if the batter was peppery, I tried a bit and just that made my eyes itchy. So no more seafood for me ever.

Wow - I've never been sick from seafood -
that was very unlucky.    Shocked

I had curry 2 nights in a row.

Yesterday -
curried lamb with: 3 different colored capsicums, onions and basmati rice.
Simmered for 1 hour.
Excellent.

“Porkerhouse” with kipfler chips and a garlic-onion-tomato sauce.

Very nice.

Lamb shanks today:

https://www.recipetineats.com/slow-cooked-lamb-shanks-in-red-wine-sauce/

Hmmm bought rosemary not thyme—saw a lamb shank at the fine food shop and bought it then tried to remember what I needed. Fresh bay leaves from my tree. Bought a half bottle pinot noir—cheap brand not expensive—from the Tasmania shop. No point using expensive wine to cook.

Will have to scale down, above recipe calls for four shanks, I got one. Not a prob.

It was excellent and worth every penny.
It cost $16.50 at a restaurant.  Smiley

The same pies are shipped out fresh every day to
dozens of top restaurants around Melbourne.
Inside are large chunks of juicy, melt in the mouth beef.
There is also a delicate amount of herbs too.
The smell is beautiful.
