"People listening to you now say, well he's talking economic growth, but hang on, the cost of energy with renewable energy targets is crippling economic growth. They're saying to me 'we used to have the cheapest energy in the world. Now because of all of this, we actually cannot afford to go on doing what we're doing, and jobs are being lost here'. Doesn't economic growth start at home?"
Indeed it did, the Prime Minister agreed, and thanks to the abolition of the carbon tax, Mr Abbott said, power prices had seen their biggest drop on record last quarter.

Wind turbines and Photovoltaics were heavily promoted by Governments wanting to save coal, they charged out with huge subsidies and non free market purchase tariff, then changed the game around, so now we all get is what a waste green energy is, stay with coal.

The LNP talks green energy when in fact they only talk that which cant produce power 24/7 and is highly inefficient for what little it produce.

Having failed to have the voter believe wind mills and photovoltaic are the only forms of green energy, they now ban any energy provider not burning coal, then they say Coal pays them nothing for doing so! Smiley

LNP ban CO2 electric turbine generators in Australia.

Coal-Steam turbine burns 240 tonne per hour costing $90 a tonne, $2,1600 for 350 megawatts, or $62 per megawatt.

Change over to CO2 drive gas, and its 240 tonne coal per hour for 10,5000 megawatts, or $0.20 per megawatt.

LNP, if it not burn Coal it has no place in Australia, a possition entirely unlike that provided to windmills and photvoltaics!
