If someone posts someting like, Mark Latham would have made a good PM, there should be a button to lay down about 100 laffers at once.  It's quite time consuming giving a comment such as that the ridicule it deserves.

It is true that conservatives don't like reformers and can be happy with a dope like Abbott who is incapable of making any meaningful change in any area.

The best we can hope for with this government is more of the same which is a polite way of saying more lies, dishonesty and failure.

I have never before seen a government where it would be easier to count the promises they kept instead of the promises they have broken.

We currently have a group of conservative supporters with no right to be critical of anything, they should all be hiding under their bedcovers or a big rock some place waiting for their nightmare to end in 18 months time and for some small measure of credibility to be returned to the Liberals in a decade or two.

Latham had potential which is something nobody could ever say about Abbott.

Ditto on Tony Abbott but still a nightmare realised but clearly nothing to laugh about.

Dnarever, page 8, words to that affect. I still get a laugh out of it. and so on

I am glad you enjoyed it so much Bubba.

I also think that Kim Beasley may have been a reasonable good PM - his problem was that he was not capable of running a winning election campaign.

One of the sad things is that we have politicians who can win elections that make poor leaders and people who would make quality leaders who don't have the skills to win a popular election.

Hence poor leaders like John Howard, a guy who's primary skill was to win elections but to do nothing for Australia with the result.

Worse, was the treatment of two Coalition PM's, Abbott and Howard, being booed as they entered the church. Appalling, bogan behaviour from the crowd. Typical for them, actually.

Yes that was un called for and poor behaviour. I can understand how tempting it would have been.

You have to wonder what 2 politicians who had spent their life denigrating Gough Whitlam were doing there. Abbott as PM probably thought it a duty though I personally would have been glad to excuse him.

That just about sums up the left.  A moral priggishness that is universally disagreed with. It must be hard to be so great and yet so reviled.

Yes sweet cheeks, In your eyes it is worst to be booed than to kick a dead man in the gonads. I can't wait to get my opportunity to kick the rodent and women basher in the gonads.
