Hostgator have not responded to me yet. I had to restart the server, which is something I have never had to do before myself.

Welcome back! It was pingable, the machine was ostensibly up, it was the webserver that was down, restarting apache or whatever you use may have fixed it. Do you have ssh access? Could you log into the server?

Edit: If that was the case, only web server broken, I'd be looking at my logs to look for malicious activity.

I am glad Ozpolitic is back up & running.

I joined 2 other politics forums in case Ozpolitic was shut down
so we could still all communicate.

I joined polanimal here:

I managed to get the same user name before anyone else took it.

It might be a good idea for others too as a reserve in case this site

Happened in 2006 when I wasn't able to log in for publicdebate. Then I was allowed back in, and the administrator forgot to delete a forum topic about whether it was right to ban me from the site.
