that's the kind of sideshow argument I am talking about. here in Australia - which is what we are talking about - the terrorist threat is well defined and well known. If we stick to the boundaries of the actual problem instead of endless deflections we MIGHT even get a debate worthy of the name.
Well the ONLY terrorist action upon our soil was the Hilton bombing, by Greeks NOT Islamists.
We have, as you say several people arrested for PLANNING activity, which in my book proves our current laws and police both fed and state are working adequately.
does it? success in policing is half luck anyhow as was the tapping of these peoples phones. but again it would be nice to be debating actual propose laws instead of guesses, all of which are fanciful and inaccurate.
Teaspoon the idiot is busy using those 2 jihadists in Britian as an example for more extreme laws, shall we ban cars and outlaw all but plastic cutlery.
that incident is precisely what the guys here were planning. I think using that as an example is a good one. how could it not be? IM not promoting any specific law but likewise I am not saying no in advance of any detail either.
Quote:How many terrorists murdered the British soldier in London? Two. How sophisticated was their equipment? A car and some knives. The people arrested here were planning a similar atrocity. Grow up.
How far and exactly what are you prepared to forgo?
And why suddenly is it wrong to question?
its never wrong to question, but at the same time the questions need to be both valid and intelligent. that's a rare commodity on here.
