Still cleaning up after WW2

Even 70 years after WW2, Germany has a constant battle with disposing of unexploded bombs.
Up to 250 bombs are found & dealt with every year, products of the 1000 bomber raids.
Most of the bombs are found in the heavy industry areas of North Rhein-Westphalen. Not that long ago an unexploded mine was found in the river in the middle of Koblenz and 45,000 people had to be evacuated to deal with it.

What you sow you reap I guess.

PS I can understand how the Germans were mesmerised by Hitler. You listen to his speeches and they are quite astonishing even if you don't understand it.

Raises serious concerns over the effectiveness of fuses..... maybe that's why the properties I'm looking at in Deutschland are relatively cheap.... I was hoping to snag the Berghof....

I could tolerate that .. actually in one of my books it has a comparable residence in Yosemite National Park...... my heroes capture it near War's End... kinda like the 101st did in 1945 at Berchtesgaden..... stealing the cutlery set....

So does Cambodia and surrounding countries.

The Cambodian Mine Action Centre (CMAC) estimates that there may be as many as four to six million mines and other pieces of unexploded ordnance in Cambodia.

not wrong..no money high unemployment what better way to employ people.. making bombs and weapons of WAR...

the worst ones are landmines though....why dont they have the robots out there en mass.
