Good topic Red Baron, perhaps the posters could stop trying to slag off the other side of their politics and comment on the subject.

I am sure there are as many lefties that support some action on ISIS as rightards.

They may doubt Abbotts enthusiasm and motives though!

Hi Karnal, if I have my history right, when Ming Menzies was P.M. when WW2 was on and before Curtin took over; Ming Menzies wanted  us to retreat to the 'Brisbane line' where we would turn it on for the Japs.

Fortunately Pig Iron Bob was dumped as P.M. and the great John Curtin took over.

Turning to the present, I would my probably be in line for a throat trim, I'm afraid it's a bit late in the innings to swear ever loving allegiance to Allah

Incidentally, reading through all your history lesson, do you think that there is a threat or is just as make  believe as the Japs pretending to invade us by dropping more bombs on Darwin than Pearl Harbour?

Isn't it amazing how one people can act in fear because their lands are being invaded.

While Australians act in fear about the 'possibility' that someone overseas 'might' invade.  Roll Eyes

Sorry, Red, are you saying Syria and/or Iraq are getting ready to bomb Darwin?

If that's in your crystal ball, I agree. It's a threat.

Red's got a crystal ball. He warned us about JuLiar too. If I remember rightly, she was going to be in jail by now.

Red's a bit hit and miss with his predictions. Still, it might help to learn Iraqi just in case.

Allah Uakbar, no?

The country has already been invaded, just in a "politically correct" way.

Exactly. It's now politically correct to blame Islam for everything. If you don't, you're that heinous breed of wishy-washy softcock known as a "spineless apologist".

We all blame Islam here.

Little wonder that the majority of Australians suffering from Mental Illness are the 'warmongering' types.  Roll Eyes

Exactly. All those terrorist groups in our suburbs - Al Qaida, the Taliban, Hamas, al Nusra, ISIL, etc, etc, etc. You don't hear a peep out of them, right?

Ever wonder why?

Extremism isn't a concept devoted to, or affiliated with Islam. This is what people forget... tunnel vision mentalities, separatist mentalities, where the need for war is determined by religion or race.

Another thing that is forgotten is that we all descend from one source, Islamic people weren't always as they are now, as I wasn't always a part of a "Western Christian civilisation".

If these people hating on the entirety of Islamic faith lived next door to an Islamic family, I can guarantee you that they wouldn't even have the cuts to confront them. Most of this is big tough keyboard warrior talk, a forum provides an outlet for wannabe warmongers.

Chickenhawks -- people who never signed up to fight a war, but support it behind the safety of their homes, computers, etc.

No

because right now they are all in Syria doing their bit for ISIS....or dont you read the papers..

what do you think will happen when they have done their deeds over there.??

.. and lets for an instance believe they WIN....do you think our men in Syria will want to return here?????...

what do you think? should they be allowed to come back and move into a house nextdoor to you and your family???....do you think we should treat them as bad guys or good guys????

maybe even pretend what going on over there didnt really happen at all...all American propaganda  Roll Eyes

It takes a very brave person to commit other people to fight on their behalf.
