If they did a "fairly good" job why are there so many aboriginies still here?

Also, WE don't do anything with their flag, its the government that throws the abo flag into the mix.

So let me get this right, if we don't "do what we can" to act against one specific group in one specific civil war, whilst doing nothing about other significant perpetuations of human misery we are cowards.

So just a little bit of an ironic twist then, one of the main arguments against the carbon tax was that the rest of the world was not doing their bit, so why should we?

Cowardly position?

As to banning flags, let me see, how many people do we think that might save?

Prohibition has demonstrably never worked out terribly well in the long run. Banning a flag = just another form of prohibition.

The problem with this "terrorism" point scoring is that the actual issue is more than just one simplistic, slogan worthy issue... The issues are myriad and complex.

To me, banning any flag would seem to be an inflammatory waste of time. That action, of itself will not save any of the people on the ground in the middle east that need our assistance, reportedly. I am not entirely convinced that we will effectively "assist" them at all, nor am I convinced, based on the outcome of our historical assistance in the middle east, that our "aid" will be all that well appreciated. In fact, it may just arm up the next lot of problematic, radicalised terrorist groups...

What do you think that flag represents? It is another symbol they use to entice young gullible recruits and to spread their poised doctrine throughout the Islamic world. It should be banned (as the nazi flag should be banned) and anybody flying that flag should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. The notion that a flag is just a rag at the top of a flagpole is naive to say the least.
