The indexation benchmark issue does need to be looked at and indexed against say what the pollies use.  I believe that for over 55s that is either happening or is pending legislation.  It was one of the main platforms of the still born Australian Defence Veterans Party that seems to have died in a flaming wreck of personality clashes and is trying to resurrect itself.
