Who's now showing an inability at comprehension?  I never mentioned "a court of law," DL.  That is your projection.

Perhaps I just have a higher standard or proof than you do, as you appear rather willing to accept what ever the Tabloids tell you.  I can't see you reading Fairfax or watching the ABC, afterall, they're just full of lefty Sandalista opinion...   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

You used the language of a court of law.  You are the one who thinks ISIS murderous rampage is alleged and are giving it the benefit of the doubt, innocent until proven guilty you said.

And yes I read Fairfax along with a lot of other media.  Unlike many on the forum I like to get information from multiple sources, between any bias, real or perceived, both left and right you can usually find the truth and sometimes allows you to juxtapose between differing interpretations from a single source or at least information about the source as well.

It takes a particularly dumb sort of personality to disregard a source because you do not share that viewpoint or think it biased, if nothing else it is always wise to inform yourself what alternative viewpoints are saying and what propaganda is being promulgated.  Allows an informed response and to mount targeted counterpoints you see.

But a particularly dumb viewpoint is your stock in trade.

And I look forward to you maintaining that same "higher standard of proof" granting a "benefit of the doubt" and "innocent until proven guilty" that you accord ISIS on its "alleged murderous rampage" without prejudice and to that same higher standard toward  Israel and the great Satan.

Wouldn't want to prove yourself a hypocrite now would you dopey?

You don't even know it bozo but you have just scored yourself a massive home goal and now you get to wear it.

No, you assumed that meant I was talking about a "court of law".  Now who's making silly assumptions?   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

Yes.  I find they are good principles to run with, throughout life.  It avoids me making rash statements which are not necessarily supported by the facts until they are fully known.  I'm sure you want to avoid that sort of situation don't you?   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

Really, yet you invariably come up with the opinions which are obviously reinforced by tabloid yellow journalism of the worst kind, be it about Asylum Seekers or Muslims.  For one who prides oneself on being an independent thinker, you seem to be very much marching to the drumbeat of the right-wing!   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin

Ah, so you don't read them with an open-mind, willing to allow them to convince you then DL?  How unsurprising that you read them to "mount targeted counterpoints".   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

Is it?  Perhaps it's all about perceptions?    Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

No thank you.  Not interested.  You really do seem to suffer from the Tall Poppy Syndrome.  Jealousy is such a childish emotion, don't you find?  Did you suffer a particularly disadvantaged childhood?  That may explain how you attack anybody who has done better than you out of life.     Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

Good to see, I, and I suspect others look forward to you applying those principles of, in your words, "innocent until proven guilty" and "benefit of the doubt" without fear or favour, predjudice or bias, and to the same high standard, not only to ISIS benefit but also to actions by Israel and America.  Cool

This should be a joy to watch.  You have constructed for yourself an extremely high burden of proof and I doubt that you will ever be able to vault it.

Oh, no, DL.  I'm always willing to try and reform myself but as my school teacher once remarked about me, "this student sets ridiculously low standards for himself and still fails to maintain them!"  So, I might not be able to make that vault, preferring to lapse back into mediocrity like yourself.   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

How predictable, so you won't be holding the actions of Israel and the US to the same standards and the same burdens of proof that you granted ISIS.

Not that it is a surprise.   Roll Eyes

Still it would have been fun watching you, but I can see you are not even going to try and impartially apply that rhetoric you so loftily proclaimed.

All mouth and no trousers as they say.  Another way of saying it is you are full of poo.

No, no, DL you've got the wrong end of the stick, you silly sausage!  I'm not holding the actions of anybody to any standard, I'm supposed to be holding myself to this new standard!  You silly billy!   Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin

I'd hope that the US and Israel, being representatives of superior Judeo-Christian cultural traditions would hold themselves to the highest standards possible for their behaviour.  Do you think they are doing that?

As usual, pontificating when you're got it just so wrong DL.  It's what makes you so amusing as you put your foot in your mouth, again.    Grin Grin Grin Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Grin Grin Grin
