labor would have been struggling to pick a worse leader than Shorten. but at least they had a national wide polling of the members to choose a leader and then over-rode it anyhow.

It was a Rudd idea which is why it is so fatally flawed. He had a talent for unworkable ideas. given the membership a say was stupid and what is worse, in doing it the way they did they allowed Albanese to be chosen by the members and the Caucus to override it.

what was the point? it is and remains a stupid leadership model. Caucus will still end up choosing the leader.

ignoring what? the thread is about Shorten and I spoke about shorten and the flawed leadership system that put him in place. It's not like we could spend a whole thread on Shorten since he has done almost nothing.
