the point is that you criticise everything he does no matter what, the singular exception being the UN resolution which is worthless.

do you actually have an apolitical opinion?  doesn't sound like it.  Ive been happy to concede that Gillard would have done a good job.

I don't criticise everything he does no matter what.  I don't criticise the UN resolution (which ISN'T WORTHLESS you nong), I don't criticise that the use of the UN resolution is now resulting in an international security force.  I don't criticise getting forensic experts to start identifying the bodies.

But I do criticise the chest beating, the OPERATION BRING THEM HOME sloganeering and the constant attempts at sounding like he is in control of Putin, which we all know is utter bullcrap.  You take these non meaningful politicking actions as "he has balls."  But not really. No balls whatsoever on this account.   Unless of course you can explain how they mean he has balls, which you've failed to do now 4 times.

THe UN resolution? That he had balls. Well done to him.

an 'international' security force comprise 300 Australian troops and a handful of UN inspectors.

what should he happening is Russian troops almost literally a days march away should have secured the site a week ago.

You pull the figure out of your a$$? It's 150 Australian Federal Police.

And I agree that Russians should've done more.

Now...how does he have balls again?

so the NUMBER is the issue???  talk about missing the point.  the point is that an 'international' force is incorrect. it is Australian and handful of inspectors who would be there without us.

The point is your constant making up of figures and lying.  The police mission is Dutch led, and has Dutch police involved.  40, last news I read (which also said 50 Australian at that time).  Stop making up lies to try and make some point that doesn't even make sense.

How does he have balls?  Come on, stop side traking.

how many other PMs would do this? Rudd? Gillard? Certainly not Keating. that would be too 'messy' for him. not Hawke. He would just cry about it and then concentrate on finding a new mistress. Howard may have and Abbott will.

Balls.

Grin. So you're basing this on no factual evidence what so ever?  Did the other PMs face a similar circumstance?  Nope.

I dunno.... I suspect the others all would have jumped at it had they found themselves with the same dire re-election prospects that Abbott faces and been given the golden PR opportunity that an event like the shooting down of MH17 provides.

Fair crack of the whip, Australia before Abbott had Australian PM's not a sleazy little pome runt, not one of them boasted to loving their maggot feeding of dead Australians.

Australians respect and treat all dead as if they be Australian, not so the sleazy runt nor its maggot!

not the point.  I am extrapolating and making an assumption on how others would react and you haven't disagreed.

and your assumptions are based on ...? Nothing but pure speculation and own biases?  Please, spare me. You can't make a call on how past leaders would react in a similar situation.

But look...if we are to play this game, I would say that IF the SAME sitautions as faced by Howard and Tony were faced by previous leaders Hawke, Keating and Gillard (and Rudd), then they would receive similar advise as Tony has received, and provide the same assistance to ensure the security of the site for investigation.  What they wouldn't do, however, is spend time coming up with a operational name that sounds great in the newspapers. What they wouldn't do is pretend that somehow they will control Putin. Basically, they wouldn't pander to the lowest denominator which will result in the dumbest of the dumb in our nation, namely yourself and people like Armpit, running around boasting about the said leader having balls.

Nope.

not the point.

Basically, they wouldn't pander to the lowest denominator which will result in the dumbest of the dumb in our nation, namely yourself and people like Armpit, running around boasting about the said leader having balls.

forget the others but how can you possibly imagine Rudd firstly taking advice from others, getting good advice in the first place and thirdly implementing it correctly. He was a complete dud.

did he really say that? surely he's not that stupid? ...

(
although I have been known to be wrong on occassion
)

This whole last fortnight has really revealed to us the real longie. Once upon a time the guy was actually fun to debate with. These days he's worse than armpit.

criminal acts like MH17 tend to reveal a lot about people and their true feelings.  based on the various threads it would be fair to say that the predominant position among lefties is to not care a damn or to believe it was a USA plot. I tend to dislike the left-right distinction but in this case, most lefties either didn't care or were supporting Russia in a de facto way while most righties were the opposite (except Aussie who apparently lacks anything resembling a soul)

while continually claiming falsely that Abbott is using this for political advantage they themselves have used politics in ever way imaginable.

I think the worst thing was that despite the murders of 300 people, some of them our own citizens, most lefties did not care a jot. not a tiny bit.  Most aid agencies are run by conservative right-wingers and largely Christians.  It is easy to see why. Left-wingers don't really care too much about other people. It is a generalisation so there are some notable exceptions, but it is stlll largely true.

the point is that you criticise everything he does no matter what, the singular exception being the UN resolution which is worthless.

do you actually have an apolitical opinion?  doesn't sound like it.

It's 150 Australian Federal Police.
http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-07-26/australia-pressing-ukraine-for-deal-to-get...

I wouldnt put it past Rudd to also name something OPERATION BRING THEM HOME.  Sounds to me like him and Tony are very similar.
