given the breadth of meaning of the word 'molestation' it would be rather foolish to offer an opinion. he could have been grabbing the kid's butt or raping him or anything in between.

and a look at the father and you know it wasn't his first brutal assault by any means andr his subsequent efforts to raise a million dollars does not exactly build up his reputation.

but the day we sanction vigilante justice is the day we give up on justice.  after all, do we even know that the alleged crime occurred???  isn't that why we have professional impartial investigation and courts?

I take my hat of to the father and I take my hat of twice to the Daytona Beach authorities for using common sense.

The father should have killed this piece of turd.

What, so he could spend time in prison for it? Nothing to be gained there at all. Violence is a method of last resort only - in cases where it is the only reasonable option, not as an emotional response.

seer that's your problem .... not enough passion ... nothing wrong with emotion when used properly

There is a difference between feeling an emotion and allowing it to dictate your actions. Feelings are not justifications for actions by themselves.

In a situation like this you're not going to stand there and contemplate your emotions!

"Hmmmmm now should i kick the poo out of this piece of crap - oooops your being emotional, naughty boy!"

This is spur of the moment "you filthy piece of crap i'm going to kill your sick arse" stuff.

If it was me my rage would be instant and blinding.. Angry

but still stupid and illegal.

It's not stupid, it's a reaction.

What would you do, have a nice sit down and a chat?

"Now you naughty man why are you molesting my innocent child?"

Pigs arse, you'd fly into the sick piece of crap with-out a moments thought.

Who knows if it wasn't some hair-brained scheme in an attempt to suck money from the public?
That father certainly looks pretty thuggish and capable of attempting such a stunt.

The thing is this isn't the case for all people. When I am faced with an urgent situation I tend to go into fix it mode and that mode does not include blind rage. If anything I get more detached and look for a way to fix the immediate issue. Not everyone does, though. Some people get angry, some people panic.

Red-out is a real thing. I'm not saying it isn't understandable, but that is different to justified or a good idea. Reacting that way is risky behaviour, and something that should be treated. It's not a good thing, or something we should say is "ok"

If I walked in on some sick piece of crap molesting my kids my reaction would be instant and ferocious.

No right or wrong involved, no justification, no good idea.

You call this an “Urgent Situation”? It not a smacking leaking roof, for buggers sake….

Reacting that way is risky behaviour, and something that should be treated

You’re so far removed from reality! Do you think people carry a bloody shrink around in their pocket?

“Oh please treat me before I kick the living sh!t out of this sick #### I just caught molesting my kids.

Like hell……smash heads, ask questions later.

kinda my point.  the buffoons on  here are assuming guilt and applying of an arbitrary penalty with no evidence or due process.

I would have charged the father with aggravated assault.

a true rightie believes in justice, freedom, compassion, human rights and due process.  lefties however define justice as murdering their opponents, freedom as the right to do as they say, human rights as non-existence and due process as the trip to the gallows and no more.

your posts on MH17 pretty much prove at least some of the above.

and just imagine if you could even consider the concept of PROOF of the crime which so far is only stated by a man who has also used this alleged incident to try and raise a million dollars for... himself.
