‘UK media show weakness for sensationalism & propaganda in wake of MH17 tragedy’

There are no words in the English lexicon which can properly summarize the horrors of events yesterday in Eastern Ukraine. Like all right-thinking people around the world I am aghast and I currently have a nauseating tightness in my stomach as I pen this.

Since Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur came down in fragments on the blood-soaked soil of Ukraine, media, both old and new, has been caught in a torrent of claim and counter-claim on an unprecedented scale. Retired journalists with decades of experience say they have never seen anything quite like the propaganda and misinformation which has spewed in the last 24 hours.

Let's stick to the facts. The most pertinent one is that 298 people should have landed in Kuala Lumpur by now but instead they are dead and their bodies are scattered around Ukraine's war spoiled soil. We do not know why the accident happened and we won't know until an investigation is carried out – unless somebody admits shooting it down in the interim and their claims can be verified.

Until either of those scenarios comes to pass, anybody offering a view on what occurred is voicing an opinion, not a fact. I have my own theory and anybody with a passing interest in the Ukrainian conflict or aviation will have theirs and that's exactly what they are – opinions, not facts.

Russian media was full of reports of differing scenarios yesterday and Western correspondents decried many of them as propaganda. Journalists from the UK and the USA (and other NATO-aligned countries) regularly accuse the Russian press of being a propaganda tool for the Kremlin and they mean more or less all outlets of expression when they say that.

In this world they have concocted, their own nations' reportage is balanced, fair and honest and what comes from Moscow is Goebbels-like 'disinformation.' It is true that Russian media often gets things wrong and when they do they should be subject to rigorous examination. However, it's also the case that Western news-outlets frequently get things spectacularly askew and the early indications are that many have done so in the immediate aftermath of the MH17 disaster.

Will Russia shoot down West’s lies?

They don't call it the "gutter press" for nothing. But Western so-called news media sunk to new toxic depths over the weekend in their coverage of the Malaysian airliner downed over Ukraine - and the death of all 298 people on board.

It was a veritable media-orgy of lies, propaganda and vilification spewed out by American and European corporate news outlets. Whether online, television, or newspaper, the media went into overdrive to lay the blame for the disaster on Russia or "Russian-backed rebels" in Ukraine.

Of course, informed people around the world know that the Western mainstream media operate as a propaganda machine for powerful elite interests. But what is astounding is just how brazen the brainwashing purpose has become.

Without sparing a respectful pause for the crash victims and their families, the Western media stampeded to make cheap political points - dutifully obeying their masters.

Trashy tabloids joined with so-called "quality" outlets to form a virtual lynch mob to hang Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Britain's Daily Mail ran this front page headline on Saturday: 'Putin killed my son' - quoting the family of one of the dead British passengers. The Daily Express screamed: 'Putin's rebels blew up plane'. The Sun plumbed the sewer with this one: 'Putin's looters rob Brit victim.'

The supposed high-brow press were braying for Putin's blood too, albeit in a more refined, that is, deceitful way. The Independent: 'The fingers point at Putin'; The Guardian: 'Ukraine claims 'compelling evidence' of Russian involvement.'

One telling aspect is that the herd-like rush to blame Russia and President Putin for the disaster is based on scant factual evidence, but lots of lurid innuendo and hearsay peddled by the Western-backed stooge regime in Kiev. It really is a measure of how degenerate the Western journalism has become.

Moreover, the agenda-former for the whole Western media is clearly Washington and its anonymous "US intelligence officials." The "get Russia" campaign got underway on Friday when US President Barack Obama sent his ambassador over to the United Nations to begin the stitch-up.

Incredibly, the most discredited institution in the world, the US government, is allowed to repeat its criminality - thanks to a corrupt and discredited propaganda system masquerading as news media.

For the record, the US government has no evidence to support its allegations against Russia that it somehow had a hand in the downing of the Malaysian airliner over Ukraine - either directly or indirectly by supplying self-defence militia fighting in the east of the country against the Western-backed Kiev regime.

The crippled El Al cargo jet, leased from UPS, had transported from JFK Airport in New York a secret load of weapons including plutonium, depleted uranium and a bioweapon called mycoplasm in its cargo bay before crashing on an attempt to return to Schipol Airport, in an operation directed by the Israeli intelligence service instead of Dutch flight officials.

The Israeli security company has a record of staging false flag operations, including the September 11, 2001 attacks. ICaTS subsidiary Huntleigh provided passenger and baggage inspection services at Boston Logan Airport, where two of the four jetliners used in the 911 attack originated.

At Schipol Airport on Christmas 2009, ICTS allowed the “Underwear Bomber” Umar Farouk Abdulmutallah armed with explosives to slip past “sniffer” detectors to board a Detroit-bound Northwest flight, an incident that was a boon to Homeland Security and the global war on terrorism.

Initial information, even before the start of an official inquiry into MH17, raise serious questions of whether Israeli intelligence tampered with the flight controls and radar identification (transponder) system of the Malaysian-operated Boeing-777.

- MH17 deviated from the civilian flight path, which should cross close to the exit mouth of the Azov Sea, away from the current battle zone between the Ukraine military and militant ethnic Russian irregulars. Instead its navigation steered the jetliner on a more northerly course in contested airspace, where Ukraine military aircraft conduct both air strikes and troop transport missions, putting the Malaysian Airlines jet into jeopardy.

- The wide-body Boeing-777 jumbo jet is similar in profile to the Antonov (built by Kharkov Aircraft Industries in Ukraine) and Ilyushin (Russian-built) transport craft in service with the Ukraine military and air cargo fleets. At higher altitudes (MH17 was flying at 35,000 feet), the only way from ground level to identify a plane is by a coded radar response from its transponder signal. One possibility was that MH17 was programmed with a false responder code; while another problem could have been confusion with the transponder  beam from a nearby Ukraine military craft. A more sinister scenario is the sending of a false ID signal from a ground-based vehicle.

In short, Israeli operatives could have loaded a bomb onto MH17 or used a false responder signal to lure a rebel missile battery to intercept a suspected incoming troop landing. Another issue for investigation, if these scenarios are verified, is the unspoken connection between the Boeing Corporation and the Israeli intelligence services. Boeing would have key data on tampering of any of its aircraft control systems, and both MH17 and MH370 were Boeing-777s.

Israeli intelligence had three possible motives for orchestrating a false flag incident blamed on ethnic Russians or on the Kremlin.

- first, the MH17 crash diverted international media attention from the launch of the Israeli invasion of Gaza, which is a serious rupture of existing peace accords and a massive assault on human rights. Malaysia is an outspoken voice in the UN and the world media on Palestinian rights in Gaza.

- second, Israel, even with the Zionist economic interests in Russia such as BP, has a historical interest in the 45 000-member strong Jewish community in the port of Odessa, which has a large stake in the financial sector, military electronics industry, missile production and weapons factories. PBN and GQR, lobbying organizations controlled by American Jewish neoconservatives, are the most influential force in Ukraine politics.

Do you see that Bobby? Apart from the attack on Gaza at the same time, I can't see much else and Israel has never worried about what the world thinks of their attacks on Palestine before.....maybe? A long bow.

“[We] would like to get an explanation as to why the military jet was flying along a civil aviation corridor at almost the same time and at the same level as a passenger plane,” he stated.


Carlos the air traffic controller reported this at the time it was happening. Why has Ukraine not answered the question. We know for a fact there is a Carlos because he had a Facebook page prior to the incident. Why would a Spanish citizen make up something like that at the real risk of losing his life over it?

There's still those ten questions that Russia want answered. Who's putting pressure on Ukraine to explain themselves?

I have thought that myself, but would those drug addicted, drunken Russians have the expertise to do that? I've read where it takes many years of training because it's complicated equipment....I have no idea about weaponry, just what I've read from those in the know. Also there was an early report from the Ukraine authorities saying they were absolutely certain that the separatists did not have possession of those BUK missiles.

The thing that's making it difficult is the fact that America was so intent on stitching Putin up, especially after the BRICS banking agreement. They needed a good reason to get into Ukraine and set up full scale military operations.

Will we ever get to the bottom of this?
