Where if its there, Greg Hunt?
Jul 6th, 2014 at 11:09am

ENVIRONMENT Minister Greg Hunt has renewed his vow to see Australian households recoup the full impact of the carbon tax repeal, revealing the government is working closely with the Palmer United Party to ensure electricity companies are forced to hand back savings to consumers. (cant find in draft legislation)

“They were wrong, it’s happening, it’s going to happen and we’ve set out very clearly in the legislation the responsibility and the legal duty to pass back all of the savings, but we’re going even further in our discussion and in the legislation and amendments which will come through from crossbenchers in the coming days.”
(legislation already before the senate, time for cross bench amendment gone)

Labor should have done what they refused to do originally...  have the carbon tax entered on the electricity bills as an individual item.

My electricity bill in both queensland and NT has the carbon price per KWH on the bill.   For a bill of around 650 in QLD, I paid $50 odd $s (from memory) to the carbon people.  I thought other states/territorys had that info as well?

An 8% tax for keeping the iron lung turned on, and warming the baby bottle, not to mention other essentials of life!

Hunt is cunning and nasty little piece of work as they come! He know he cant escape the records held by DaS Energy, so he tries never to be seen, and often as possible never be heard.

Mr Hunt said he had spoken to the billionaire MP three times in the past week, while his staff had also met regularly with Palmer United Party officials. He described the discussions as 'constructive and positive', and said the government was fulfilling a promise to work with crossbenchers.

'We will add additional legislative safeguards and guarantees that all of the savings from the carbon tax will go back to consumers,' he said. - See more at: http://www.skynews.com.au/news/top-stories/2014/07/06/-we-ll-bring-on-carbon-debate--says-abetz.html#sthash.ZWm0isJd.dpuf
