Come on Grendel.  Do I add obfuscation to the growing lidt of symptoms indicative of the Grendel Syndrome?  You said they were safe in India.  Implicitly, that demands you knew where in India they found this place of personal safety.  So, again.....exactly where were they Grendel?

You can add what you like and be as dense as you like...  that Lambie line really seems to have really upset you...  not my fault you voted for and advocate and support PUP and the buffoons.
Get over it.
Too late to run away from it.

Wassup Aussie...  got nothing?  Happy to keep repeating myself till you do something constructive and on topic yourself for a change.
Was I right?

Were they safe in india?

[size=12]More than 100,000 Sri Lankan Tamils live in between 115 and 130 refugee camps in Tamil Nadu State in India. Aid workers say that some refugees live in thatched huts, others in small cement blockhouses. There are no proper toilet facilities, bathing facilities or adequate drinking water. There is no rubbish collection, and only some camps have medical facilities. Electricity is provided in some locations, but usually only between 6 am and 6 pm. In some camps there is no electricity for many inmates. Six houses at Thiruvadhavur collapsed in monsoonal rains recently, killing a girl.

this is how half a billion  Indians live.. Whats your point? Should we take in half a billion Indians as well?

I'm totally anti Canetoad in most things, except his attitude to illegal immigrants. That said, his actions here are simply wrong. What is happening in Sri Lanka is current, and violent, it's no wonder people are fleeing it. Those refugees on boats should be turned back, they have no right to force their way into Oz, but handing them over to the Sri Lankan Navy is a crime in and of itself.
If they departed from India then they should be returned there, they were safe from SL persecution there, if they left from SL then put them on Manus and let them decide where they want to go, just not HERE. They chose to sail thousands of K's here rather than the far shorter distance to India where there were other Tamil communities to settle in already, so that's not "last recourse", that's economic migration, pure and simple. We have enough people, and problems, why should we be importing more?

Could you have a quiet word with Aussie for me...  he seems to be having his regular comprehension of the real world problems.

Tony Abbott'a Acceptable Levels of TORTURE in Sri Lanka

The woman-basher, and and most of his "government", are sociopaths.

As disgusting as his attitude is, this comes as no surprise.

Greg, I see you understand politicians, social scientists, and the like...
You may wish to consider that I've suggested that a rigid adherence to any form of education strand is inherently psychopathic, as is a rigid adherence to a concept such as 'law'.

Trained psychopaths - you may wish to consider that, and tremble...

So, you are going for a third attempt.  Okay, let's go back to the beginning where you said they were safe in India.  That was your claim.
I made no claim
.  I want you to tell me exactly where you say they were safe in India.  Can you manage that, Grendel?  If you do that, then you'll be entitled to tell us how right you were.  (I reckon that is another indication of the Grendel Syndrome ~ an obsession with wanting to be acknowledged as always correct.  We can get that one sorted right now Grendel.  You are indeed always right.)

If they were in India, they were not accepted as refugees (as we understand that word), because India is not a signatory to the Refugee Convention.  They have zero rights in India, and are subject to whatever abuse anyone wishes to wreak upon them.

So Mark Dufuss if some psycho freak had your kids locked up somewhere you'd just ask him nicely where they were?

If he'd hidden a bomb on a school bus somewhere you'd just ask him nicely where it was?

I assume that he'd just let them die..... Sad

you do realise that under our laws even in these cases the police would not use torture as was, and probably still is, done in sri lanka.

How old are those pics, buzz? I see they're not time-stamped or dated. Could be ten years old for all we know.

Does it matter how old they are when the same things continue to happen now?

I think too many of you watch too much television and movies about torture etc.  It is well known that using fear is better than physical abuse.

Posting shocking pictures without date stamps, also without details of exactly where they were taken, is nothing more than trivialising such atrocities. And certainly stating that Tony Abbot is directly or indirectly responsible for them or would find them acceptable in any way is nothing more than sensationalistic dross posted by desperate weak minded scum.

Can we make it mandatory to tag pictures like the ones contained in the OP as NSFW upon pain of a months ban?

buzzanddidj you are grubby little buggertard if posting pictures like that is what you have to do for attention.

Yep...seeing pics of what actually happens to these refugees in Sri Lanka is a tad upsetting and we wouldn't want the public to see the truth.
