Didn't Rudd change the rules for changing the ALP leadership?

A vote by Labour caucus and party members and all that?
A process that takes f-cking ages going off the post election leadership selection?

I'll call bullshit and an attempt at diverting focus from the current woeful polling by the Libs.

All latest polls are moving in abbotts direction.

Watch the ALP and Shorty nose-dive in the polls when they release a policy. All we've seen from Shorty is anti-Abbott rhetoric and nothing else. When voters see what Labor plans to do, they'll desert the ALP and Shorty will get knifed in true a ALP style!!!

Not likely. Shorten is trouncing Abbott as preferred PM.

Much like the crap you idiots post about the non-existent posturing by Turnbull for Abbott's job, eh?

Why then has the leadership question been asked of the Liberals by multiple pollsters? Why has the media started asking questions?

Abbott's 60% disapproval.

The same happened when Gillard had similar figures.

The difference is that the leadership of the Liberal party has been polled and has been actively explored and questioned in the mainstream media in the past month. The only speculation about Shorten has been fevered speculation from wild-eyed, frothy-mouthed conservatives.

IMO, leadership speculation on Abbott is premature (wait a few months in case polling improves). Speculation on Shorten's leadership is without any plausible basis (he is leading Abbott as preferred PM and his party is leading 2PP on every poll).

How amusing it is to watch conservative posters trying to wring any positives out of opinion polling that on the raw numbers has had Abbott lingering in the valley of death (>50% disapproval) and the Coalition trailing in the polls for seven months.

One term Tony is still very much on the cards.

Watch the ALP and Shorty nose-dive in the polls when they release a policy.

Is that why the Liberals are so unpopular?

Quote:
All we've seen from Shorty is anti-Abbott rhetoric and nothing else.

It worked for Abbott for three years with his anti-Gillard rhetoric. Why can't Labor and others try a tactic that worked for Abbott?

Quote:
When voters see what Labor plans to do, they'll desert the ALP and Shorty will get knifed in true a ALP style!!!

Don't judge the ALP by what is happening with the Liberals.
