I have had the pleasure to have some very stoical neighbours who survived the depression and the rationing of WW2.
one mustered for 2 days with a dislocated shoulder.
another broke his ankle and hip and rang the ambulance but then didn't want the ambos to break down his locked front door, so dragged himself down a flight of stairs to unlock it.
truly a great generation and never whinged or expected much.
the current generation of retirees make my blood curdle.
they are so soft and so interested only in their own comfort.
truly awful people , a lot of them. I don't associate with whimps, softco*ks and whineys.
ill hang out with my family and friends who are tough hard rightwards and with my kelpies and my quarterhorses.
