Well let's talk about core promises and non-core promises.
If your core promise is to restore budget stability, which most commentators agree is necessary, there are going to be promises in relation to specific budget sectors that will be difficult to sustain. Agreed?

All politicians make & break promises.
That is their field of operations, their battleground.
Which broken promises cause most casualties doesn't matter as much as who wins the war.

I agree, that is pretty much where we are now!
AND, IT IS WRONG, DEAD WRONG!

The thing is, we have now arrived at a line in the sand, only to ind that it's "quick Sand", on the other side of the line.

We either pull back & start the WHOLE SYSTEM HEADING IN ANOTHER DIRECTION OR WE ALL SINK INTO THE ABYSS!

Perhaps, ALL POLITICIANS should borrow a thought from the Law, which says -
I WILL TELL THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH & NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH!
And, put it into action?
Either that or we will have  to take our own action, BY VOTING OUT EVERY INCUMBENT, UNTIL THE POLITICIANS FINALLY CHANGE COURSE???

And writing in
big bold letters
make what you say more factual and much more worth listening to  Smiley

Actually ---- yes

It needs to be exposed in big bold lettering

I was quick to criticise that poster for doing so, pre-election

I voted poorly at that election.  I was wrong

just as I was wrong to criticise the poster with the unpronounceable ID for their massive font posts

Yes, Abbott needs to be exposed in big, bold lettering

And it should continue all the way through to the day he's kicked from office along with his scum party

Please explain how
big bold letters
will look any more knowledgeable than a small child yelling and stamping his feet.

It is content that matters not how it is delivered.....Debate the substance not the messenger and you are half way to making a valid point!!!

Huh Huh Huh

How do you imagine your argument would fare if you took it to the media?

Or took it to politicians during their pre-election campaigns?

Do you see protesters in the street holding signs the size of matchboxes bearing tiny print?

Do Hervey Norman or David Jones et al advertise their sales in envelope sized posters at the bottom of their windows ?

Is the advertisement at the top of this page in tiny, monochrome font ?

and there you go

Well Cliff, I seldom follow our "Politicians lead, But.

It's like when Politicians "say things twice", you know "they say things twice", IN ORDER TO "EMPHASIZE THAT WHAT THEY ARE SAYING  IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SOME OTHER THINGS THEY SAY & THEY WANT TO GAIN YOUR/OUR ATTENTION!

And, seeing as to how we can not speak on an internet forum, we must employ other measures to emphasize some issues, which we think are more imoportant.

You are right PN, you are right - I must say that you have it right.  You have shown that copying Abbott is the way to make a point.  I mean copying abbot makes a point clear.  I am sorry I doubted your intention,  I am sorry I doubted you intention.  Saying it twice and in
BOLD AND CAPS
was a master stroke ...   a master stroke .. in getting your point....  yes .. your point across.

I am sorry sorry for even raising the matter ...  the matter should not have been raised.  Let me say that again in BOLD and in CAPS -
PN what you say is so smacking intelligent I am sorry I missed the importance of bold and caps!!!

Oh & just in case the message got lost?

I agreed with Bogi, that All politicians make & break promises AND IT IS WRONG, DEAD WRONG!

And the important message is -
We have now arrived at a line in the sand, only to find that it's "quick Sand", on the other side of the line.

Darn I think I did the old Politicians repeat trick, again?

Babbott didn't just use big bold lettering, he had his promises, and his personal signature too, blown up and pasted on a bill-board and went and stood in front of it!

So, since they're all the same, remember and pass it on people!
