Sizes these days are all over the place - and as you pointed out - you don't know what the quality is like until you get it. It's difficult these days to get good quality clothing or material unless you're handy to a city.

I have ordered a few things online, but I prefer to go to a shop and see what I'm buying, so I can check the quality and, in the case of clothing, the fit. I have only ever bought a couple of pairs of shoes online, and they were a brand and style I had bought a few years earlier from a shop, so I knew they would fit.

In my case, I live about a kilometre away from a major shopping centre, so distance from retail outlets isn't an issue for me. I don't know how I would go if I lived in a remote part of the country.

I have bought a fair few books and DVDs online, but that's a bit different.

I won't comment on that piece of garbage posted by IQISLOW - it doesn't deserve any comment....
