According to the British Times about 15 percent of Muslim immigrants to Europe have abandoned Islam and become Christians. In the UK the number is now estimated at 200,000. In France, every year about 15,000 Muslims become Christians, some 10,000 of them Catholics, the rest Protestants of various denominations, especially of independent churches.

Wow, ive just pasted that link you mention ian, woooow the conversion to christianity is mostly in europe and outside the middle east ??? no surprise and and out of reach of such tough and deep islamic nations like Saudi arabia, Iran or the rest of the middle east  Grin Grin Grin
The majority of the worlds  Muslims do not reside in the middle east. So, when we talk about the religion of Islam we are talking about all Muslims, are we not?

Yes we are and its true what you said, most reside in south east asia, in particular Indonesia, but ive noticed you havent refuted what ive said either.

In fact, the Middle East-North Africa region has the highest concentration Muslims of any region of the world: 93% of its approximately 341 million inhabitants are Muslim, compared with 30% in sub-Saharan Africa and 24% in the Asia-Pacific region, according to PewResearchcentre

I have no issue with agreeing that cultures in these middle eastern islamic countries are barbaric and backward, but that is not Islam as you have just agreed. So. less of the lazy thinking when debating and stop substituting Islam for middle eastern.

Ian for someone who refuses to ask Muslims about Islam, you make some bold claims about knowing what Islam really is.

Ah yes, but your own resident expert has departed. You no longer have anyone to ask questions to.

Well, you do, but you don’t like their answers.

There will always be a place in your heart for Abu, FD. Still, have you tried reading a book?

Ah, my friend, Yeheshua was a Jewish.prophet. A fellow called St Paul opened up a Jewish sect based on the words of Yeheshua to gentiles. It was originally called Paulinism, but came to.be known as Christianity.

Anyway, it became the official religion of Rome after an emperor known as Constantine had a dream of a cross and won a battle. Christianity spread throughout the world and made it to Mother England. Mother England came to Australia, took the land and built a colony around a church in Parramatta, now called St John’s, after a chap who wrote down the words of the prophet Yeheshua, who St Paul turned into a god.

No, he was baptised on his death bed so he could enter heaven, insh’allah. This was the way it was done in early Christian communities.

The official story of Constantine’s conversion is that he looked up at the sky during the Battle of Milvian Bridge in 312, and saw a vision of a cross above the sun. He ordered his troops to bear a Christian symbol on their shields, they won the battle, and Constantine became the emperor of Rome.

Glory be to Gud.

My dear fellow, I’ll have you know my knowledge in the field of Pakistani Studies is admired throughout the world. I could live and teach wherever I chose - Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Lybia, Indonesia, you name it.

I, however, choose to bring my skills to the fine people of Australia. I find them most grateful, if a little snippy at times. You are fortunate to have the advantage of my knowledge, and you ask accordingly. In the words of your prophet, seek and ye shall find.

Insh’allah, you’ll learn.

Ah, my dears, we can learn from all the peoples of the world, no?

Besides, your good intelligence services do a roaring trade in Pakistan, Afghanistan, and even Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

Say no more, eh?

Whitlam.

I remember Whitlam was instrumental in allowing/permitting a 'Palestinian Information Office' to be opened in Sydney(?) in the early 1970's.

It was 'fanfare'd' on the ABC TV news of the time.

My skin crawled when i saw that happen.
