That's just the weird thing, the car parks are full and I too have to search for a car park, and then, when I go in, they are all cluttered in the cafes, or supermarkets ( including Aldi), the bank, and the chemist. And a long line at Donut King or Wendys.

But, if there is a special on in any store, there is a clutter there too.

The jewellery stores seem busy also, especially for them Pandora things, which reminds me, I got one of them Pandora Bracelets from my kids for my big birthday bash, and now I want something to add onto it, for mother's day

Oh and the pet stores, people gawking at the cute little pets in them pet stores, and quite a wait at the Medicare centre too.

Most other stores are just void of people, looking very empty of any activity.

Another place popular, is Swarovski stores. Pricey, but oh so beautiful stuff.

Another good place, is them tea shops (T2) where you can sample hot or cold teas

Doesn't happen like that.

If you want a car, you need a car to get to work, the car places offer immediate finance (albeit at a higher interest rate)...but still, if you need a car, and haven't saved anything, then how else do you get a car?
And why wait for a holiday?
We took $5000 against our home loan to go on our 1st cruise holiday back in 2009, and if we didn't do that then, we would never have enjoyed the delights of a cruise.
Why wait until we are 70 or 80 to do that?
So in the meantime, we paid that $5,000 back.

So yes, in order to get ahead, you have to sometimes get a debt. So it's not that bad, the word "debt".
Can have positives to it also.

Yes sure in those days you had to have a healthy 30% deposit to buy a house and there were plenty of manufacturers and value added industries creating real wealth to help people pay off their debts. But where have all of the productive industries gone ?

I just don't see an economy which is productive. It is an economy being fueled by debt and not real growth and that spells trouble.

You can sell as many over priced houses to each other until the cows come home but it won't create one extra cent of wealth. Sure it's great for banks and people who profit from getting other people into more debt but it will create further problems down the roads as people struggle to generate enough income to afford their current standard of living.

I went this morning, but I decided to walk there instead, as it was after 11am. Turned out it was a good decision - there were cars queueing up to get into the car park....

The cafes were pretty busy and Coles was so crowded I went across the road to the old shopping centre to get what I wanted from the IGA. I didn't go into Aldi, any bank or chemist, so I don't know what they were like.

I did stop to look at a black and white Cavalier (although I think it was one quarter poodle - I'm nit certain because I forgot to bring my glasses and I couldn't read the tag on the window properly).

Good idea to try them - some of the combinations are very nice but are not something you would think of yourself. I was in Hornsby a few weeks ago and walked into the T2 shop and tried a mix of Turkish Cherry and Vanilla Slice teas. We had friends over for dinner tonight and I mixed up a couple of jugs of it and it went down very well......
