A drug addict once offered help to babysit, through local paper, too bad I rang all of the referees she's provided, one of which happened to be honest priest
P.S. she may have been on drugs writing the list of them

If GST rises by 5%, then your income must also rise by 5%. Which means you will either become unemployed or underpaid. Choose wisely

No it won't.  No taxi driver, convicted of an offence like this, will have access to a Cab.

And this assurance comes from you personally or is this a broadly known fact?

Maybe it will help if I explain that, following retirement,  I own, operate, and drive Cabs here in Queensland.  I know the system intimately.

I can only respond from a Queensland perspective.  To get a taxi driver's licence, among other things, you go through a Police check.  A conviction of a taxi driver for an offence like this, involving the use of a vehicle, would automatically lead to a disqualification of not only the bloke's taxi driver's authority, but also his normal driver's licence.  Keep in mind, that if this bloke is convicted, he will be going to prison, and if he gets out, he will never get a taxi driver's authority.

For instance, the company might be owned by a mohammedan believer, who doesn't see this as a problem and is legally able to initiate taxi business

"Out of the mouths of babes" comes something people in Victoria (and in any other State considering de-regulating the taxi industry ~ as Victoria was conned by that idiot Fells) need now be very alert to.  Yeas, that is possible in Victoria since the Fell's inspired de-regulation.  It cannot happen here or in other States where there is very heavy, and very active regulation.

but that doesn't stop them to become something else, in which case it goes back to the same point I made.

ok, well, anything can happen regardless of any of these rules and regulations, food at restaurants being reused, pieces of glass is found in ready to eat meals, etc.
thus we should know everything regarding the perpetrators, agree?

If someone has been only charged and is yet to face a court with the alleged crime involving a child victim, then knowing the name and details of the accused serves no real or valid purpose.

If they are then found guilty, and there is no chance of the victim being outed due to the release of the perps name etc, then by all means release their details.

parallel-connected in essence of general view with regards to rules and regulations

Of course they have to be proven guilty, there is always two sides to the story, although, somehow something tells me that 10 years old would be pretty stressed out and obvious to fake such a lie...

I find it disturbing that the alleged offences occurred in 2009 but were apparently not reported until 2013.

She did not report him in 2013, it was reported in 2009, when the girl was only 10... What difference does it make now, I don't understand why you'd find it more disturbing , than the fact that the girl was raped. Are you saying it doesn't happen? Or are you saying that it's uncommon to commit this crime for an ethnic taxi driver?

Not reported until 2013......that, to me, is disturbing both from the victim's perspective and potential community risk over the 4 year period of time..

Should the fact that the offences were not reported until around four years later make any difference?  As can be seen from a lot of the cases coming to light over the last few years, such a delay (or even greater) is not unusual with child sex offences.  It certainly doesn't lessen the seriousness of the charges.
