anyone who gets sauce from a tin needs their head read ... sauces are so easy to make, why would you use processed crap?
You have a point, John.
One of the drawbacks of living alone is that you're more inclined to 'make do' with pre-prepared stuff in tins and frozen packets then start a huge mess on the chopping board and the side-boards that will be a chore to clean up.
There's no one to impress with your culinary skills.
Even when my niece visits me I buy 'vegetarian' from the local Chinese restaurant for her. It's more tasty and interesting than anything I could come up with.
Try this: (brand) 'Tom Piper' ~ tinned 'Braised Steak and Onions'. Heat it and pour it over boiled rice or potatoes and carrots.
To die for.
Besides the Campbell's 'Spaghetti Sauce - With Beef' ~ it's the
only tinned meat I buy. Okay ... there's Spam which is delicious sliced thinly and topped with HP Sauce.
And speaking of tinned foods ~ there's nothing that pisses me off more than the idiots who still keep packaging their foods in unstackable tins.
