A friend of mine used to drink hot water in the morning instead of tea and coffee...I ran out of tea one morning and tried it..a refreshing start to my day esp: when a little lemon squeezed into it..sometimes add honey and ginger, delicious.. I haven't drunk tea since..

Your such a smoothie LH...ha ha

I find that the tannin in tea has its own set of problems as well..actually interferes with the absorbtion of some vitamins /iron...well we don't need that do we?

Black tea helps develop kidney stones.

And spinach.

Just saying.

When you eat spinach you can actually feel a layer of "something" that coats your tongue and teeth, same sometimes with tea...its not a nice feel and that it inhibits absorbtion is not surprising...

Monkey's brains are better ~ and fresher.

The Chinese waiter brings the monkey to you for your inspection, holding it in his arms while it chews on a peanut and blinks at you.

And then the waiter guillotines the top of its head and hands you a pair of chopsticks and some soya sauce, with a side order of shishkebabed toilet insects gently roasted, and dipped in black bean sauce.

To die for.  Cool

The first time I heard of the practice, I was absolutely horrified...even now it  still deeply disturbs me...who could do that for any reason ?
