If you have an abundant supply of veg maybe you could give them to friends, a soup kitchen or just eat mash for next 6 months /snerk/... sweet potato can be made into pies all kinds of things..go Google Mike.

Did something a but different tonight: Soba noodles (no, I didn't make the noodles - I bought them from the supermarket) which I mixed with 100g of smoked salmon (torn into small pieces, 50g of red caviar mixed with a bit of verjuice and four grated radishes. Then I put some pickled ginger and nori on top. I served it up with some steamed bok choy dressed with olive oil, salt and pepper.....

I suppose it was a sort of deconstructed sushi. I based it on a recipe in a book by Kimiko Barber but I changed a few things: I used verjuice instead of saki (I wasn't going to buy a whole bottle of saki when I just needed a tablespoon of it), I used ordinary radishes (which I had in the fridge) instead of buying some daikon and I used lumpfish caviar instead of salmon caviar (it was all I could find locally). It was very well received.....
