Family cat turns savage ...
Mar 12th, 2014 at 7:58pm

Quote:
A 10-kilogram Himalayan cat has attacked a baby boy and trapped a family in the bedroom of their apartment in the US state of Oregon.

The cat's owner, Lee Palmer, says the family was forced to call 911 after the feline scratched their seven-month-old baby, prompting Mr Palmer to kick the animal up the backside.

He says this caused the cat to go "over the edge".

Amazing - a 10Kg cat is a formidable opponent &
can do some nasty damage even to a man.

20 razor sharp claws & a set of needle teeth.

Yes.

When aroused to fury it becomes a land-shark on four legs with teeth that can shred you better than any spaghetti machine.

Animal welfare should take the animal and try and re-home it. The cat is not only seriously overweight, but being kicked with a huge boot regularly is cruel. At 7 months babies are grabbing everything and it's possible he grabbed a chunk of the cat's fur and pulled it causing the cat to react and scratch.

The cat must have been in a great deal of pain after being kicked in the backside. The owners are idiots.

Yes! Had to laugh about the bit where they still wanted to keep it!

I'd bet that cat ain't going to come around (Evil Angel), until its killed the baby!

I knew someone who owned a large male unneutered cat who acted almost the same way when a second cat was brought into the home. Went from a how-do-you-do, to a fcvk-you overnight.

Sure God created man before woman. But then you always make a rough draft before the final masterpiece.

Yeah because you can tell by looking @ them right? Rabies makes them go suddenly vicious. It was a joke though. Obviously mistreated.

... Poor potty-training, and his 'meows' were lost in translation, misinterpreted, and taken out of context ...

I once had a whopper of an all-white male Norwegian Forest Cat that still had one testicle.

He was abandoned because of sudden fits of aggression. Ours was a rare love. We doted on one another, even though he would grab me sometimes with insane intensity and put me through his personal shredder just to let me know he loved me ...  Roll Eyes

We had 13 very happy years together. FIV took him in the end.

'Pinky'.
