Winston Smith what seems disrespectful to me is questioning the integrity of a highly decorated, highly respected Officer who has paid his dues and done his job extremely well.

To be humiliated by Conroy who has the manners of a gutter rat, when he was trying to force the General to comment on current operational matters was mind blowing.

I'll give to the General though, if Conroy spoke to me like that I would knock his buck toothed head off his freaking shoulders. Guess that's why he is a General and a bloody good one at that.

come on people, they have the charisma of dog shyte, they are incapable of leadership, not because they have a low IQ but because they have low emotional intelligence. What utter garbage, Conroy was exactly right in his comments, and if anyone should be demanded an apology from, it is the pair of Abbott and Morrison for forcing a military leader to be complicit in their political decision to refuse to allow any public scrutiny of their actions, by hiding the truth behind a wall of forced silence.

This wasn't a reporter after a scoop, this was an Australian Senator, part of an official Senate enquiry, being told that he would not answer even the most basic of questions, because his political masters had deemed it so.

Abbott and Morrison made this General a part of their cover up of the facts surrounding the whole treatment of refugees, and the Nation's Armed Forces forced role in this "SECRET" treatment.

What the hell is this supposed to be, a Stasi operation in old East Germany?
The whole excuse of denying information for people smugglers has worn way too thin to be still accepted as a valid excuse to continue to maintain a level of secrecy that excludes everyone but Abbott's inner circle.

This is a political cover up, for political reasons, and it is way past the time when we the people should need to put up with it.

The fact that his in the Army put him above reproach.
That his risen through the ranks makes him untouchable.
