Yes you're correct, it was more of a shameful retraction and grubbly deflection wouldn't you say?

But he is a labor pollie so it was to be expected that he would disparage the character of the general and instead of apologising unreservedly, he would instead deflect and weasel out of any responsibility.

No.  There was Conroy, part of a Senate Estimates hearing who asked a question, and some ADF Uncle Tom LNP apologist refused to answer.

That makes him a bloke who is covering up what he and the LNP Government are up to.

He was carefully chosen to be the patsy if ever they needed one.  Someone less dazzled by the money and the ego would have realised that he was being set up to be an LNP  Uncle Tom General, and he fell right in.

Now he bleats when the politicians do what politicians do.  They ask questions and if they don't get an answer..............hell, don't be surprised if you get accused of 'covering up,' because it is 100% true.

The bloke entered a political arena, and whinged like a girly wimp when someone told him he was an integral part of LNP cover up.

Nah.  He should never have entered the kitchen.
