The title should be "Liberals push for more deaths on work sites".

Under former PM Howard's industry watchdog, strikes were down, productivity way up, employment in this industry was up and deaths actually dropped. All bad news for unions and Labor.

I have no problem with a Royal Commission into unions that also addresses links to businesses and the ALP that are corrupt.....No Australian should accept the behaviour we have seen exposed and the corruption that lies beyond the reach of authorities we do not know about.....It is time to deal with those corrupt bastards across the board!!!

Quote:
The number of deaths has gone up:
from 3.14 per 100,000 workers in 2004 – before the ABCC started –
to 4.8 per 100,000 workers in 2007 and 4.27 in 2008.

The construction laws and ABCC have taken us back to the terrible situation of, on average, one construction being killed on the job every week.

Limits on right of entry for union organizers have made safety worse.

and deaths actually dropped

Of course you can just make it all up but when consistently caught out there is little credibility left to draw on.

Say, harking back to your childhood days remember the kid who's always shoving his hand up....choose me! choose me! Usually some little squirt with an inflated sense of his own importance..Now...talking about Bill Shorten. Wink
