Some moderators do tend to overlook the indiscretions of their political allies - it's just something us lefties have to deal with. It's best to remain mute and tread carefully around them.

I have seen a lot worse said here about Gillard - so tend to be a bit immune to insults about politicians. Some of the posts were slanderous, but they were usually ignored by the moderators.

It is very hard when we see politicians from the parties we support being badmouthed, but it is part and parcel of a political forum. I'm a Greens supporter and see some terrible things written about the party senators, so skim over all the really nasty bits. Adelcrow's comments are mild in comparison to some of the stuff that's posted here about the Greens and Labor.

Politicians are open slather unfortunately.

As a poster my interaction with moderators were very limited and when LW was one I wasn't around very much. Moderating and posting should be kept completely separate and is something I'll always do.
