Dear Mr Chimp, the time has come to start asking ourselves, "What is environmental progress?", and other questions such as this.

I don't know what lies at the end of this question but it certainly aint going round in ding-a-ling wild goose chases because the negative corporate interest news cabal try and hoodwink us into red herring agendas such as trying to convince the dark side that the uncertainty principle has been well understood and worked with for the whole of scientific understanding.

Let us lead ourselves and start asking questions socratic style.

But hey, no pressure: you are as you please...

The positive---> let us throw off the shackles of the negative as the world simply turns and our kids are at stake! Whoever hates them can't sleep anyways so who cares...  Cool

ATTACK WITH IDEAS I SAY,... ADVANCE WITH A THREAT etc...

...unfortunately the environment is normally classed as some sort of dumping ground, a sink, and infinite resource etc, by the so called modern society.

A society which is almost entirely run as a quasi corporate capitalist system.

Short term profits

individualism

materialism

disposability

waste

etc

Nothing else matters. You only need to look at two nations to observe this in its grandest form. The USA and China are both quasi-capitalist systems that are underpinned and protected by the population.

The difference is trivial. The USA being a Corporately run quasi-capitalist system, whilst China is a State run quasi-capitalist system.

Both lead to the same self destructive outcomes.

It will take a total rethinking of the current economic and social paradigm for there to be genuine change. And usually with these major rethinks, there is great upheaval and human suffering

We must never question the wealth of the top 85 people in the world who control more than half the wealth.

The children ... we must start asking questions: there is infection in everything apparently!

Attack everything I say...  Wink

We, the people, must attack that very attack: red wine is getting boring let's face it!!  Wink

Capitalism is merely an economic model - often confused as a political ideology.

Corporatism is what's causing most of the major problems in the west in particular. Corporatism is a form of fascism or totalitarianism.

China = quasi-capitalist system run by the state
USA = quasi-capitalist system run by corporations

Both are un-democratic and totalitarian in nature

the differences between the two systems are trivial

The tools used to create a largely subservient and numbed down population is FEAR, LIES and in some cases violence.

That's how fascism operates

The three major forms of fascism to emerge in the 20th century were

Bolshevism

Nazism

Corporatism

And Corporatism is the most insidious and all pervasive totalitarian blanket ever woven in Human history

In Democracies, we nominally run this "mud ball". Trouble is, to do the job rationally, we need to know a bit about what we're running.

Over the past several decades, governments and other vested interests have honed their skills in pushing the buttons of the populace. They've very effectively skewed perceptions. As David Spratt's analysis showed, they're winning the war. Unfortunately, the planet as a whole is the real loser, along with everyone on it, including those who think they're winning. They won't realise that until too late, if at all.

From David Spratt's situational analysis:
Quote:
... the growing gap between what is scientifically necessary and what is considered politically possible, resulting in a cognitive dissonance which is structurally embedded in the climate discourse

We don't live in a democracy. It's not an American term. Its an Ancient Greek concept. Demos (citizen) kratia (state).

In other words the citizenry control the state. I don't know of one example in the world today where this is the case.

Australia is similar to most other western nations - a Oligarchical Corporcratic society with a mixed economical model foundation. Quasi fascist is nature?

We aren't in America, so American terms don't matter.
And yes, in Australia, the citizens DO control the State. That's what elections are for.

The fact that people don't vote the way you like really isn't relevant. People can always be swayed by pretty speeches and catchy slogans, because most humans are too lazy to really think.
