You have to be talking about the right whingers. Do you seriously believe that the crap the Librats (opposite to Labrats Cods) rave on about is truthful?

The only thing the RW's are capable of doing is badmouthing the opposition. If you ask a RW about a policy or why the Coalition is doing something or other - they haven't got a clue.

The title here is honest - Abbott did say that and the post is about that topic ?

The poem is amusing.

The only problem is that you disagree with what it is saying or that you don't like that it is pretty close to the mark.

It is a worthwhile topic as the statement made by Abbott is clearly debatable. I would think with the trickery and stunts we have seen that the current government are clearly more childish than the last.

You have to be talking about the right whingers. Do you seriously believe that FD is going to look at the crap the Librats (opposite to Labrats Cods) rave on about and agree with them?

The only thing the RW's are capable of doing is badmouthing the opposition. If you ask a RW about a policy or why the Coalition is doing something or other - they haven't got a clue. You lot of RW's are very ignorant about the party you voted in.

we say exactly the same about you mantra....

so what the heck....

I am talking about crappy threads  if the topic remotely resembles politics then suck it up....but most of these dont...ok you may be proud of the leftie c rap I know I am not proud of righty crap...

and I dont come out raving with rubbish like you have just written.. go back and read some of your side threads since the 7th...

its made up rubbish.. and I dont care who it is..its pathetic  crap..

but support away.. you dont realise how you bring yourself down to their level when you rave on like you do....I have many times pulled up a righty for something I consider to be in very poor taste....and I am yet to see a lefty abhor any of their mates on here.... and thats the truth.

so in saying that,. I can only believe you agree with them....

you used to be reasonable so one could at least agree to disagree...but now its we are all right and you are all wrong..

You know that 100% of SLR's topics would end up there, he hasn't used a honest topic title in the last 3 years and a few other ERW nutters are almost as bad.

dunno who SLR is.. but I agree put them all in the LIARS thread..

I am bipartisan on that one.....

where did i say lefties only?????

look at the front page on any given day..... and take your pick..

maybe it will brighten up Pol SUxs.. as at the moment its like playskool.

Apelike, the simian copied the “adults. . .” tripe from the Repugs in the US.

The present govt is showing no maturity at all. Maybe what there is is expressed by Truss, a man of zero ideas but who at least has gravitas.

this is truly a compliment and the mark of a mature politician (dare i say , an adult).
we neither want , nor need politicians to have ideas.

there are plenty of smart people in the private sector who have plenty of good ideas.
politicians as professional media tarts who are not deep thinkers and wouldnt cut it in the private sector should stick to what they can do best.

1  set the rules for the "ideas" people in the private sector to play by.
2  ensure the playing field is level to encourage the cream to come to the top.
3  stay off the field Wink.  politicians are many things but they are NOT cream and they are NOT full of good ideas.

abbott as a man who understands his limitations ( he is a solid family man and has a certain common sense) is doing a good job, much in the mould of john howard, bob hawke, bill hayden.

rudd (a man who did NOT understand his limitations) was a wrecker in the mould of other leftist "ideas" men...whitlam and that fool mark latham.

yes, the adults are back in charge , to a certain extent , but they still need to get some routine and discipline back into a childish voting public. Wink

Cods - you only got a little bit of your own medicine back. You need to go and reread your own posts before you accuse others of poor taste. You are also incredibly insulting, but you get away with it because most of the lefties here are fairly tolerant and your own side certainly isn't going to complain about you.

The article below is written by the ACTU Pres so I'm sure there's a bit of bias in it, however the facts cannot be disputed.

40 inquiries/reviews, didn't Bolt and you lot start calling Rudd mirrors for having inquiries?

Quote:
But what we have come to understand is that their approach to governing is not policy based. They are not embracing leadership with robust community engagement. There is no discussion of how they plan to improve lives and protect jobs. Instead, the opportunity to lead has been outsourced to big business in the form of a large number of reviews, more than 40 in fact.

Quote:
For example, Tony Shepherd from the Business Council of Australia (BCA) will oversee one of the biggest reviews, the Commission of Audit (COA). This task will have far-reaching consequences and require the business leaders on the Council to assess the role and scope of government, to recommend changes and advise on how taxpayer money should be spent. Ideas already floated include the $6 co-payment for doctor visits. Considering Mr Shepherd's vested interests it is likely, if not a surety, that COA will recommend policies that promote privatisation and small government. By shifting services away from government (under the banner of ''cost savings'') we will see big changes in the way Australia is run. Privatisation of government services would be as detrimental an outcome in Australia as it was recently in the UK when the conservative government implemented this same policy. The emphasis on cost over need, and on small government over big, will see rising unemployment, fewer services and much regret.

Quote:
And the stupefying aspect of all this is that a review sounds so prudent. The public could be forgiven for thinking that a meeting of minds is a safe way to ensure the government receives advice to make the best decisions for Australia's future. But if the minds who are meeting are exclusively unconcerned with the wellbeing of workers and families then the review might as well not occur at all.
In fact, why doesn't it take ownership of its own agenda - made obvious by the choice of reviewers - instead of a facade of fairness through analysis?

http://www.smh.com.au/federal-politics/political-opinion/a-review-of-the-reviews...

I think that line somes it up.

Abbott a solid family man. . .errrr no!

Regarding his daughters, Abbott was, to borrow his own insensitive remark, little more than a sperm donor. He was always out furthering his own career. Even now we have the idiocy of the simian bunking down in the AFP recruit barracks.

When the creep thought his gf was pregnant—he ran away, got his Mum to ring the gf to say everything was off, Abbott wouldn’t be coming back.

Not a real PM’s arsehole and not a good family man.
