Favorite TV or Print Media Advertisement
Jan 12th, 2014 at 11:50pm

My dearest departed brother confided to me one day that in watching TV,  the most real, normal things on the telly, in his opinion, were the ads. !!!.

This from a man who had sailed the world twice over, and lived a bohemian life. !!

I was shocked...  until I realised ..

what he was actually saying to me.
Grin Grin Grin

so
fave ad as of now??

..ummmmmmmmmmmm Huh Roll Eyes Grin

darn it.. it was on the tip of my finger...   Angry

it is compelling..   but  but but
sheesh...
..it'll come to me...

later

I havent seen any ads in a long time but there was one i used to like in darwin in the early 90s. It was a guy sitting in a dentist chair and the dentist says open wide and guy says "did you get that drill@ bunnings?" and dentists says "why yes i did"and it pans out to the power drill . . . .

Those sick jokes about the golden retriever etc in the QLD beer ads werent bad either. . . .

I've already mentioned this one, but because I get several laughs out of it every time I see it, I'll mention it again.
You must have seen it. The woman receives her copy of New Idea or something and she goes into life changing behaviour. New furniture, all kinds of things.
Her dog, one of those big sad-eyed pug-faced creatures you can't help loving, watches all this happening with some dismay. But the crunch comes when, instead of what I guess is his usual big meal, she puts down one bit of sushi for him.
Well, he looks down at his plate, then he looks up at the camera with this look of infinite sadness, which just breaks me up.
Next thing though, as soon as he gets a chance, he sneaks that damn magazine which has caused all these changes in his life and he takes it outside and drops it over the neighbour's fence.

I only mention it because they've started showing it again so it deserves another review. 5 stars!

Know the enemies of a civil society by their public behaviour, by their fraudulent claim to be liberal-progressive, by their propensity to lie and, above all, by their attachment to authoritarianism.

AAMI .. the Romance of Rhonda  and Katooush...

from the 'sunburned asian beach' to the 'miss the party' to the 'happy ending'

love it..  Smiley

doesn't everyone want a happy ending.? Smiley

Quite like the one of the netballer who gets the cat down from the tree.

The look on the face of the cat owner is priceless.

We are not amused.....
