Ok,

Like I was saying.. over the past 6 months in particular our year has probably been a bit cooler than usual...

Then to be told that it’s Australia’s hottest year ever?

Say what?

So I have double checked Monthly Average temperatures through the last 6 months for MY area... 3280

December -
-1.3
Novermber -
-2.1

October -
-0.7
September -
+1.7
August -
+0.6
July -
+0.6

You know a year has 12 months right?

Also its the whole continent not just a particular area.

Your area might be lucky and as you have provide be a bit below, another 5 areas relative in size could be the reverse & be a degree or 2 warmer.

Its primary school maths
example
john eats 5 apples a day, mary 1, ian 6 & lisa 3
The average apple intake  is
15 divide by 4 = 3.75 apples p/day

next year
Ian remains at 6, mary to 4 john drops to 3 & lisa remains solid at 3
Average intake = 4

Its not hard , your areas John Wink

Try comprehending what I was saying smith instead of trying to be the forum smartass...

What did you say,
You said you don't believe 2013 was the warmest year because in your little part of the country 3(Oct/Nov/Dec) of the last 6 months have had below average temperatures.

for goodness sake either express yourself clearer of give up while you only look stupid instead of retarded.

Ok, where exactly did I say that I didn't believe that 2013 was one of Australia's hottest years ?

Then again if your comprehension skills are as good as your maths you probably DO think you are agreeing it was the hottest with that post Cheesy

You haven't shown me anything apart from my surprise that they said it was one of Australia's hottest year...

So show me where I said that I didn't believe this was true...

That's a sweeping generalization.

I'd agree but from the other stand point, the degree of water muddying by those opposed to paying a little more or losing monopoly markets has been criminal. Not to mention the slander leveled at those trying to warn us of our folly.
The turning of years of study & gained intelligence into some form of a "BAD"/"ELITIST" thing is frankly laughable, then again I read a report yesterday that more than a few Americans believed the earth turned 2014 years old on Wednesday.

See generalizations & unsubstantiated thought bubbles are easy.

while generally true, none of that changes the perception that where climate predictions are concerned, we are being lied to and lied to badly. BoM lies to us repeatedly telling us things that pollies and activists want to hear but some of which is transparently folly.  NASA temperature recording is predictable in advance.  in 2007 they reported that the year was cooler and showed a change in the direction of warming ie cooling.  a few weeks later they changed their mind and said the diametrical opposite.  So who do you trust?  not NASA or BoM or Flannery or pretty much anyone who preaches the catastrophe that never comes.

IM calling BoM liars.  In a world where the laws of thermodynamics can be happily ignored to ply yet another fanciful warming fantasy science itself has sold its soul for ideology and the research funding trough.

normally you'd have a point but he is simply expressing the now common 'what the...?' whenever we are told more stories of imminent catastrophe which never eventuates.

I'm not a gullible fool.
There's no evidence to support that assertion.

That's pretty rich coming from someone who actually believes that AGW is a scientific fact.

However, I'll play along with your little game.

If I'm as gullible as you claim, what is it that I've been led to believe?

And please, be specific.

I'll have a go.

You've been lead to believe that the human activety of burning millions of tonnes of fossil fuels releasing millions of tonnes of CO2 into our atmosphere combinded with land clearing has absolutely no effect upon our climate.

Close?
