Ok,

Like I was saying.. over the past 6 months in particular our year has probably been a bit cooler than usual...

Then to be told that it’s Australia’s hottest year ever?

Say what?

So I have double checked Monthly Average temperatures through the last 6 months for MY area... 3280

December -
-1.3
Novermber -
-2.1

October -
-0.7
September -
+1.7
August -
+0.6
July -

You know a year has 12 months right?

Also its the whole continent not just a particular area.

Your area might be lucky and as you have provide be a bit below, another 5 areas relative in size could be the reverse & be a degree or 2 warmer.

Its primary school maths
example
john eats 5 apples a day, mary 1, ian 6 & lisa 3
The average apple intake  is
15 divide by 4 = 3.75 apples p/day

next year
Ian remains at 6, mary to 4 john drops to 3 & lisa remains solid at 3
Average intake = 4

Its not hard , your areas John Wink

the same data shows adelaide as having 'well above average temperatures'.  having lived here all that year, that is total bunkum.  but I am so over the climate reports now.  I don't believe anything any more.  the degree of corruption and blatant lying all mixed with a stupidly high level of hysteria has made more realise that the oft-claimed maxim 'everyone is an idiot' is rather generous.  We now have tacit acknowledgement that the 17year pause in warming is real but the 'warming has gone to the deep ocean'.  it is an blatant breach of the laws of thermodynamics but nevertheless, no ideology should ever be subservient to science.

Like wtf??? Measurement is always the problem in scientific method and longy is claiming the measurement problem does not exist: yet longy will by the same token dismiss the very prescence and factual need for tolerance value in science. Why would that be I promptly prompt you to ask the shyster....  Shocked

LongW__W___ is a confidence trickster... There I SAID IT  Cool

Dsmithy is pulling apart your misunderstanding of what temperature is: heat content and the phenomena of heat engines is what the story of climate change is all about and you by showing your misunderstanding have confirmed to everyone that your spark left the fire a long long time ago!

That's a sweeping generalization.

I'd agree but from the other stand point, the degree of water muddying by those opposed to paying a little more or losing monopoly markets has been criminal. Not to mention the slander leveled at those trying to warn us of our folly.
The turning of years of study & gained intelligence into some form of a "BAD"/"ELITIST" thing is frankly laughable, then again I read a report yesterday that more than a few Americans believed the earth turned 2014 years old on Wednesday.

See generalizations & unsubstantiated thought bubbles are easy.

OK, if thats the case how can we rely on ANYTHING derived from observational records?

Medicine relies on records, no medical records date back 200,000 years so why do we take notice of those observational findings?

the cycle of medical records is one human life-span ie 70 years.  a cycle of climate change I millemia.

Cloud cover.. cloud cover...... mind you it's more humid than normal....

Finally, someone in touch with the environment and with some common sense !!!!

Approx. 5 years ago when drought like conditions broke and se started getting good rains again I noticed that 100s of crows flew into our area just before winter... we had great soaking rains that year ...

I reported my findings on another forum and have done in following years...

Earlier this year when Victorian farmers started to panic and wanted drought assistance off the government when rain didn't come in exactly on time... I noted that the crows were a month late coming into my area this year... sure enough, the rain came, but a month later than usual ...

Talking with some old folk about this up country a bit... they say that when they start getting sightings of black cockatoos rain will follow ...

They say that the cockatoos are heading to the mountains ...

What did you say,
You said you don't believe 2013 was the warmest year because in your little part of the country 3(Oct/Nov/Dec) of the last 6 months have had below average temperatures.

FFS either express yourself clearer of give up while you only look stupid instead of retarded.

Australia has just sweltered through its hottest year on record, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.

Average temperatures were 1.20 degrees Celsius above the long-term average of 21.8C, breaking the previous record set in 2005 by 0.17C, the bureau said in its Annual Climate Statement.

All states and territories recorded above average temperatures in 2013, with Western Australia, Northern Territory and South Australia all breaking annual average temperature records.

The country recorded its hottest day on January 7, as well as the hottest week and hottest month on record.

Meanwhile, extreme conditions have persisted into the first days of 2014, with soaring temperatures in areas extending from Queensland's interior to Central Australia, northern South Australia and north-western New South Wales.

So come all you d!ckheads explain how you think it isn't getting warmer and wasn't the 2012 the hottest on record back then

im not sure I even believe it.  there has been such corruption involved in these matters that I don't really believe it. In Adelaide our September and November were very cold compared to the average and I would dispute it was even up to the average.

and something worth noting - that few pick up on - is that is is merely the warmest year in 8 years.  big deal. 2011 was the COOLEST year in well over a decade proving...

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Longy can't define corruption FOR HE HAS SOMETHING TO HIDE(...called a big swinging d%^#  Cheesy)

*Sure....they're anti competitive as any subsidised job is.  It wouldn't be there without the tax payer.  Very damned difficult for a brainwashed collectivist to understand that I know....  (swaggy) *
