Hang on, Rudd was PM not once but twice yet he NEVER served a full term. Gillard took over part-way through Rudd's first term and during her only full term as PM, lead Labor from an absolute majority to a minority. Then she got knifed by Rudd who lead Labor to its worst ever election defeat. Seems like Tony is doing alright, even with hitting a few bumps in the road early on! Grin

I'll think you'll find that it is one term tonys policy that genuine asylum seekers who jump the queue will never settle in Australia.
Non genuine asylum seekers have always been sent home or incarcerated until they can be sent home.
