Excuse the bad language on the picture - but this would have to be the tiniest cat in the world. Hope it's not a Bonsai.

That's odd. It might be photoshopped.

Looking more closely - I think you are probably right. I thought it might have been some new miniature species invented by the Japanese.

Is this your favourite U-Tube clip?  Smiley

I'm pretty sure this picture hasn't been photoshopped. The owners of this cat should be prosecuted for animal cruelty. Or maybe it was allowed to eat them afterwards?

There's something wonderfully American about this girl. You have to watch all the little affectations and nuances to fully appreciate this clever little clip.

Is it true that in our own zoos they feed live mice to the pythons?

*******

Yesterday's news showed us a group of four zoo keepers running for their lives from a couple of 'tame' tigers that had turned on them.

When will they ever learn?

It's the same zoo where Bindi Irwin and her mother work.

The cat from HELL ...

Quote:
Shiny's victims are so scared they retreat behind locked doors and arm themselves with hoses and mugs of hot tea whenever they see the black cat prowling the streets.

But despite being reported to the police officers are powerless to act because laws designed to combat dangerous dogs don't apply to cats.

His owners say they are trying to curb their pet's behaviour. He has been neutered and booked in to see an animal psychologist.

There's some vicious cats out there and Shiny the Devil Cat is a good example.

I was watching one of those yank court shows recently and the Plaintiff was walking a little poodle who went to sniff a bush. This cat was hiding there and it jumped out and attacked the poodle ripping its eye out in the process.

Of course the owners denied that their little Binky could do such a thing - but there was proof that he did.

Cats do hide in bushes and jump out at people - it's happened to me. Most of these aggressive cats are usually male and not desexed.

There's no law in Australia for savage cats either. With a dog - the police will come out and shoot it, but cats can roam free killing and maiming whatever they like.

I once had an enormous 'reverted' male ginger cat spring out from behind a bush in my backyard and hang from my horizontal forearm.

It was a whopper.

(Had gone from domestic pet, to urban stray, to bush-wild feral).

Over the next 24 hours I very carefully 'whispered' him back to Domestic Cat status... so that he was sitting beside me on the lounge watching TV the next evening.

2 days later I had him put-down at the vets because he was so diseased. At least he enjoyed his last few hours.

That was a very kind gesture Herbert.

I've had two ginger male strays over the years I've nurtured at brooms' length. Just recently I heard there is something in the genes of a ginger cat which makes them savage. It was second hand information, but it could easily be true. Gingers aren't all that common and are usually males.

Human version...

I always thought gingers were males, but now I have a ginger female. Cute beyond all words. (She's just come in front the backyard. Must have heard us talking).

My female cats have always spent all day, with a couple of brief naps, patrolling the property endlessly, with meanwhile the males are sleeping in their favourite daytime spots ~ endlessly.

Big black Sooty bit Gizmo yesterday in the garden. He sat on his haunches struggling to spit out Gizmo's fur that was stuck to his lips.

The relationship between Sooty and Gizmo is interesting. Right from the beginning Gizmo would flop down on his side if Sooty looked at him for more than a couple of seconds. Sooty is Top Cat around here. He never attacks Muffin, but he otherwise totally ignores her.

On the other hand, Gizmo often gives Muffin (his sister) a bit of a hiding, accompanied by her screams and hisses of protest. That's when Sooty comes running, but doesn't interfere.

Today I've had to play the role of 'hurtful enemy' to my three cats.

It's been worming paste and flea ointment time.

You build up trust in them, and then you blow it all away by acting 'cruelly' to them. If I could afford it, I'd have someone else do the honors.

One good thing ~ It was the last of the worming paste applications. In future it will all be delivered to the back of the neck ~ even though this also sends them ballistic with fear.

A very Good News story about a rescued dog.

(But why did it take months for someone to do something about it?)

I've watched dozens of these PAWS' stories. Who knows why people neglect discarded animals for so long. They're either too busy, they don't care or just don't notice misery in animals.

You can watch hundreds of animal stories and clips on Buzzfeed.
