Who cares that we don't have a menacing spin bowler. We didn't have one in the last 20 years. If I bowled 30 overs per innings per game, I would take a lot of wickets too.

I've been playing and watching and listening to cricket for decades. It was today for the first time I heard the 'Gabba given that description.

It's been around a while. Can Alastair Cook end 27 years of pain at the 'Gabbatoir'?

That article was written today and it is true that the expression has been used in the last 48 hours. Now you have sparked my interest, I'll go google.

Might just be me, but I've never heard of it before after many decades in Queensland and playing the game, even at that ground. It's always been the 'Gabba. They are now six fer bugger all.
