Your bottom order out scored your top order in 7 innings out of 10.

You lost because your batsmen can't play Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad.

Now we will see how you at home.
Bear in mind last time in Australia we didn't win at the Gabba but humiliated you everywhere else.

Still haven't replaced Shane Warne a decade on.

That's still your problem.

Warne was hyped up so much, that his reputation was more feared than his actual bowling. Who cares that we don't have a menacing spin bowler. We didn't have one in the last 20 years. If I bowled 30 overs per innings per game, I would take a lot of wickets too.

Yes, the Gabbatior doesn't like those who do not shower.  Grin

I've been playing and watching and listening to cricket for decades.  It was today for the first time I heard the 'Gabba given that description.

It's been around a while. Can Alastair Cook end 27 years of pain at the 'Gabbatoir'?
(Excerpt)
Quote:
It's cricket's answer to Galatasaray's Ali Sami Yen stadium, with a journey to The Gabba truly representing a trip to hell for Test sides across the world for the last 25 years.

It was 1988 when Australia's players last trudged away from Brisbane having tasted defeat. Of the 24 Tests played there since, the Aussies have won 17 and drawn seven. Little wonder cricket lovers Down Under refer to the ground as the "Gabbatoir".

That article was written today and it is true that the expression has been used in the last 48 hours.  Now you have sparked my interest, I'll go google.

The only references I can find are in the very recent days.

Might just be me, but I've never heard of it before after many decades in Queensland and playing the game, even at that ground.  It's always been the 'Gabba.

They are now six fer bugger all.  Prior gawn!

Given how Johnson is on a huge high, yuv gotta give it up to Root.  He holds his ground.  Well done, him.

coming towards the end of day four and the Poms are 8 for 168.

561 doesn't look reachable.

in fact,

they may as well start warming up the losers beer for the Poms.  Grin
