You keep bringing out the phrase "those who served" , sounds like an American thing to say to me. At least I have never heard any member of the ADF use the term. Whats your point anyway? Lots of peoples serve the public and put their safety and lives on the line every single day in this country, they don't feel the need to keep parroting on about it. The last war of defence of Australia was in WW2, of course Australian troops have been involved in a number of armed conflicts since then but it is a fact 90 percent of serving soldiers in a war zone are only there in support roles and never see battle .In fact 90 percent of serving members of the ADF never go anywhere near a war zone. So which conflicts and battles have you been involved in? And who were you "serving"?
